Question: How long does your units charge? Mine seems to take 15-20 hours before the blue lights stop flashing. I have run it down until the orange light comes on, then take all day and part of the night to stop flashing. I have had many before that charge in a few hours.
Answer: I am curious about this too. Specifically, the time for the initial charge right out of the box. I always give my new electric toothbrushes 24 hours for their first full charge, it they have all given me some indication at the ten hour period that they are at least 50% charged. This brush still shows a low charge with the orange light coming on as soon as I turn the power button on and off. Sure hope I did not get a defective unit. And FYI, the manual states the blue button will stop flashing after something like 30 seconds when the brush is on the stand and fully charged. -
Question: Is it the charger who is 110v or the toothbrush itself? If it is the charger then i can use my old model from UK which is 220v (Oral-B 4000)
Answer: Yes it is dual voltage. All you need is another Oral-B 240v charging base outside of the US, The Oral-B unit itself is dual voltage(made in Germany) it is only the US charging base that supports 110v. So if you are updating your Oral-B outside of the US, your current 240v base(model/type nu-3757) will work fine. -
Question: is this model only 110 or 110/220? thanks
Answer: is this model only110 or 110/220 -
Question: Anyone who has used both? I've used sonicare for years, is the rotation/plulsing of an oral b a lot different?
Answer: I had a Sonicare Diamondclean for 2.5 years. It was the most underwhelming $200 toothbrush ever. I always had to go back and rebrush, sometimes even two or three times because my teeth did not feel clean. The Sonicare only vibrates a bit, it does not rotate. The Oral B rotates and maybe vibrates (not sure?) but if I do a proper job (not a rush job), my teeth feel super clean, much, much, much cleaner than with the Sonicare. I much prefer the Oral B. The only drawback is the loooooooonnnnng charging time as others have noted. -
Question: What does the whitining mode do different than other modes?
Answer: I couldn't discern any difference in the process. But I love this tooth brush. easy to use, light, efficient anfd a charming little clock. -
Question: Where is it made?
Answer: The bottom of the base of my toothbrush says "made in Germany" -
Question: Is the tray that holds the extra brush heads detachable from the charger base?
Answer: My tray for the brush heads has never been attached to the charger, indeed, I never realised that it could be as my charger is not located in the bathroom where there is no electric socket. -
Question: What is the size of the base of the unit when you have the brushes and timer on the base?
Answer: The timer comes with a foam, double sided stick'em, so you don't have to put it on the base. I actually stuck mine to the mirror. -
Question: Can’t figure out how to set clock/timer?
Answer: You don’t. If you want to set the clock, pop off the back (there are 2 pieces back there I believe). Insert the battery and there are two buttons (left and right side of the battery). Face the clock toward you and used your fingers to find the 2 buttons. Click (I believe the left one that will give you the flashing 12. When it flashes, use the other button to set the time ( you may have to play with those 2 buttons but easy to figure out. There is no timer. It will automagically time you and after 2 minutes - the will be a harder vibration to alert you that you’ve done an acceptable job. You can go longer if you want.
