Question: Is this magnesium citrate 1:1 or magnesium citrate 3:1 ratio? see wikipedia, it says its made in these 2 forms.
Answer: There are only two forms: regular magnesium citrate (1 magnesium for each citrate) or trimagnesium dicitrate (3 magnesium for 2 citrate). The 1:1 form is water soluble. The 3:2 form is chalky and much less soluble soluble in water. Also, the 1:1 form has a citrus taste while the 3:2 form is tasteless (chalky taste). -
Question: Can I mix it in my hot coffee ?
Answer: f combined with a liquid high in acidic content such as lemonade or orange juice, this solution is highly soluble. It is less so in water. The product should be stored in an area that is free from light, heat and moisture in order to maintain its effectiveness and overall potency. Measure out about 1662mg (1/2 tsp) Magnesium Citrate. Then add the juice of half of a lemon or lime. Add 8oz of hot water or one small cup if you do not have an accurate measuring device and then stir for 30-60 seconds. The next step is to add sugar; however, this is optional. Bring this solution to a cool by placing it in a refrigerator or by mixing with ice cubes. This should not dilute the effectiveness of the Magnesium solution. -
Question: Another brand that I used to use, had a distinctive citus taste when mixed with water. This powder does not. Since it is a citrate, shouldn't it ?
Answer: I had the same concern. In addition to not tasting "right" it does not raise the temperature of the liquid it is added to as true magnesium citrate does.I do not think this product is actually magnesium citrate. -

Answer: This powder (Bulk Supp) has 1662mg of Magnesium citrate for 1/2 teaspoon and contains 250mg Magnesium (about 15%). Magnesium citrate powder from NowFoods contains 315mg Magnesium from 1900mg (1/2 teaspoon) magnesium citrate (about 16%). So, not much difference. -
Question: How many milligrams are in a serving?
Answer: 3325 mg per serving, but the citrate portion weighs much more than mag, so its 500mg of Mag per 3325 mg of powder. -

Answer: It dilutes and does not resolve. I miss one scoop with 2 ounces of orange juice and take it that way
