    • Question: Is it waterproof?

      Answer: Although it seems counterintuitive to me, this water-based formula actually lasts far longer than oil-based products. Evidently it is the oil-based products that must be reapplied more often, just from sweating. I can't say whether it lasts after swimming, but I've never heard of anyone using bug spray in that situation anyway. I would have thought oil-based repellants lasted longer, but this formula does not absorb into the skin or dissipate in sweat. I arrived at this brand after trying several others, and I can say without reservation it is BY FAR the most effective. One application last me through several hours of bicycling or yard work. I have also tried various deet-free products that were quite inferior... my research eventually led to the discovery that the essential oil- based products still pose a risk of serious skin reactions (in children, mostly), and that deet poses no greater threat as long it is used as directed (don't drink it or splash it in your eyes!). And for what it's worth, IR3535 (found in Avon products and others) is all but useless because it needs to be reapplied hourly.
    • Question: Does this work on No-see-ums like they have in Florida?

      Answer: Yes it definitely helps. I live in the panhandle of Florida and have been really happy with Ben’
    • Question: How long did this item last?

      Answer: I would spray it on in the morning before going out, and often again in the evening. Never got a single bite.

    Not Good For Central America
    Great travel size. I purchased for a trip to Central America. I needed a good mosquito spray for three weeks in Nicaragua & Costa Rica. Unfortunately this product was useless and I was eaten alive. I ended up going to the pharmacy after only four days and purchased a different product along with cream to sooth my bites for the remainder of my trip. I’ll try it again here in the US during the summer to see if it will work better for the climate/bugs in my area.

    Great product! Does not break my skin out.
    I’ve used other repellents but they broke my skin out, this product does not and works great.

    Works!
    Great for camping or being in tropical areas with mosquitos. My only concern is the safety of DEET... I’ve heard so many mixed feelings but apparently it’s safe at low doses. Avoid too much direct skin contact. But I spray deet on clothes and it works. But be careful that it doesn’t stain or damage the fabric. Maybe do a test first. Happy camping!

    I bought this for a trip to Costa Rica-perfect size for travel, never had an issue with insects.

    Good product but the bottle leaks
    I live in Florida and this spray really works. The bottle leaks when I spray but other than that it’s a great product.
