    Product Description

    Overview

Optimal Prenatal Protein Powder by Seeking Health provides a comprehensive prenatal formula with a unique blend of amino acids, chelated minerals, and vitamins designed to meet the high nutritional needs of women who are pregnant or preparing for pregnancy. This chocolate-flavored prenatal protein drink is specifically formulated to support healthy fetal development and prenatal nutrition. Optimal Prenatal Powder may also be taken whenever you need a multivitamin and protein supplement.*

This complex formula is made with careful consideration for increased demand of certain nutrients, but also for digestive sensitivity that can occur during pregnancy. This product contains L-5-MTHF, the most biologically available form of folate, which is essential to support healthy cognitive development.*

Optimal Prenatal also provides folinic acid, a non-methylated form of folate that can be easily converted to coenzyme forms within the body. This optimal blend of folates may work in conjunction with amino acids, chelated minerals, and other B vitamins to support normal cell growth and cardiovascular, neurologic and immune health.*

Our prenatal supplement is suitable for vegetarians. The formula is free of dairy, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, and wheat.

    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: What is the Expiration date I bought mine on oct 2017 is it still good to use ?

Answer: Supplement powders I believe are good until 3 years after the manufacturing date. The manufacture date should be on the bottom area of the container.
    • Question: Here's a question for seeking health: what is the chemical included that is in the california prop 65 list? can you please explain.

Answer: The element that it commonly refers to is lead. Lead is naturally occurring in soil, and plants soak it up from the soil when they grow. It is virtually impossible to avoid that. This product tests for trace amounts of lead. Prop 65 allows for .5 MCG of lead per day The FDA allows for 75 MCG of lead per day. This label is on just about everything in the state of California. We legally don't need to ship our products with that label to anywhere but California state, but we decided to be transparent about it and ship them worldwide with that label. Please contact us directly if you would like a certificate of analysis for this product or any additional info. - Seeking Health Team
    • Question: Is this really $100/mo for 30 servings?

Answer: Hello yes if taken daily it would be $95.90. We also offer Prenatal Capsules (same formula) a one month supply for $65.95 and a prenatal chewable formula for $46.95 Please let us know if you have any other questions! -Seeking Health Staff
    • Question: Is this a one month supply?

Answer: No, it contains 15 serving
    • Question: What are the non vitamin-ingredients?

Answer: Pea protein isolate, cocoa powder, organic dried cane syrup, natural flavors, glycine, sunflower oil, medium-chain triglyceride oil, cellulose gum, xanthan gum, rice protein concentrate, stevia leaf extract, and L-glutamin
    • Question: I've been ordering this from you for months. Now the chocolate isn't available on prime. Why is that? I'm hoping its an oversight and not intentional.

Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Optimal Prenatal Protein powder chocolate is temporarily out of stock. You should see it return by the end of the month. Thank you!

Love the product - hate that it is regularly out of stock
have used this for years!! I absolutely love the taste & all of the great stuff that's in it!! Have shown it to a dietician who specializes in fertility & she was also super impressed with the contents. The only complaint that I've ever had is that it is regularly out of stock :-(

    Get your doctor's approval first
I am one of the consumers that just wanted a protein supplement because I have a sudden nauseating aversion to many forms of protein while pregnant (beans, meats, eggs, you name it), not because I can't take a normal prenatal vitamin. I was hoping to find a protein powder that was safe for pregnancy. But the warnings on this supplement made me skeptical - it basically tells you not to eat any more vitamin A than one serving already gives you in a day (so what? nothing else?), and there is a warning about possible presence lead that can cause reproductive harm (on a prenatal?!). I would definitely pass this by your doctor before taking, especially if you're already taking a prenatal vitamin pill with preformed Vitamin A.

Not great taste but helped with morning sickness
So this doesn't taste very good, but my Dr. suggested it to help with my morning sickness and keeping vitamins down in my first trimester. I blended it with almond milk, ice and half a banana to give it texture and better taste. It helped too with morning sickness. I would buy it again.

    Good taste great nutrition
This has a strong cocoa flavor. Made chia pudding and chocolate milk with it so far and it's great. You might need a little sweetener. Great nutrient profile. Just be sure to have a shaker bottle or a blender. You can mix with just a spoon, making a slurry but you will still get lumps. I am picking about chocolate flavor. This just tastes like under-sweetened Hershey's chcolate milk powder.
