Customer Questions & Answers

Question: Will this work for a large over the knee stocking?
Answer: Yes it will work for large over the knee stockings. -
Question: What can i do if i don't have the strength in one arm to stretch the compression stocking over the semi circle initially? (once i can do that i’ll be
Answer: More information would be helpful. This suggestion assumes that the hand on the weak arm has some strength. Place the aid on a firm surface which leaves both hands free. With the sock fully outside out, place/lap the top band of the sock over the rim of the aid on the side which has the weak arm. Hopefully that hand is strong enough to hold that side of the sock in place while the other hand stretches the sock over the other side of the aid rim. (The goal is to have the top of the sock over the rim far enough that both hands are free again.) Then work the sock down the aid all the way to the bottom, until the heal of the sock is at the top rim. Then insert the foot all the way to the toe of the sock, letting the sock feed off the aid. At this point the foot should be flat on the floor. Then grasp the top of the sock and pull it off the aid and into place. Once the sock is completely on, adjust it over the calf with massage motion. Hope this helps. If not, consider contacting your local lymphedema therapy center for (possibly free) advice. I'm sure they have delt with this problem before. Good luck. -
Question: How wide is the opening where you slide on the sock?
Answer: On the front part of the curve it is 4 inches wide. My husband is a bigger man and it works for him. -
Question: can this be used to put on underwear?
Answer: The Stocking Donner is specifically designed for socks and stockings and cannot be used for undergarments. -
Question: Does this have the slant back or is it more straight up and down? In the pictures some look to have more angle to them and that is what i would like.
Answer: I measured around 1.5" slant in 11" height which would be about 8 degrees.
