Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: What size is the capsule? 0 or 00?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry regarding Niacin capsules. The capsule size is 3. Please let us know if you have any further questions. -
Question: What foods have niacin
Answer: Turkey, Chicken Breast, Peanuts, Mushrooms, Liver, Tuna, Green Peas, Grass-Fed Beef, Sunflower Seeds, and Avocado -
Question: Are these gluten free?
Answer: I'm sorry, but I don't know, as the last time I purchased this was in 2018. -
Question: Is this made, processed and packaged in a gluten free facility?
Answer: I am Celiac and have never had a problem with SH product -
Question: Do you chew this . Or just let it dissolve
Answer: I don't know but strongly feel that it is not chewable unless it says so in big bold letters. I have never heard of chewable niacin. Chewable would increase release whereas many feel that slow niacin is by far preferable (slow to absorb) to avoid the flush affect and provide more ease on the stomach. I am not a fan of supplemental niacin to control hypercholesterolemia for 99% of people because the easy and better approach is diet and even a small increase in exercise. For those with elevated trigs it appears that icosapent-ethyl is well tolerated and low cost and works really well with either a statin or less statin, or sometimes alone. Standard medical care includes a statin for those with cardiac history or risk, particularly when DM is present. Otherwise niacin is not routine in medical care because it is difficult to tolerate and doesn't do too much unless the dose is high. If you take it do so with food may help some. Personally I took it for two year and absolutely hated doing so. In all cases ask your doc and do not consider this medical eval or treatment advice. This response is for educational purposes only. -
Question: Am I missing something? Bottle says "lozenger" and at the same time "vegetarian capsules". So which one is it?
Answer: In medicine, lozenge means let it dissolve in the mouth, sometimes such as under the tongue, but not to chew it up and not to swallow it whole, to me anyway. The issue is where it is absorbed or delivered. Sometimes one wants the active ingredient or precursor delivered in the boccal cavity. -
Question: Why didn't they add backside picture of the bottle, please?
Answer: If you scroll down it's posted in details. -
Question: Is this product synthetic free?
Answer: Our Niacin is synthetically derived in a laboratory. This ingredient, it its superior form, is often synthesized in order to provide ample potency and bioavailability in supplement form.
