Question: This has a description of an 8 pack, 5 lbs each for $13.49+shipping. Is this correct or is it just for one box?
Answer: It's only one 80 ounce 5 lb box for that price. -
Question: Is this only for HE machines?
Answer: We don't have high efficiency machines, and the detergent works just fine. We use it for cloth diapers and it works great. -
Question: does this work for hot water?
Answer: I remember using this product on warm/warm setting in our washing machine. You'll need to get some other answers about using hot water. Never had a problem on warm/warm. -
Question: says add water before clothes, my washer can't, can i just toss clothes in after adding powder and get good results still?
Answer: All detergents say this. I just add it to the detergent spot and run the washer. Works well. -
Question: Will this detergent safely ckean nt compression socjs if i use the hand wash cycle in my washing machine?
Answer: Don't know for sure on comp socks. But it works great. We use it for everything now. Started buying it for cloth diapers because it won't clog the fabric or leave any residue. -
Question: What laundry detergents are scent free with no brighteners?
Answer: Country save!!! Charlie’s soap. Soap nuts. Rock n green. There are actually a lot. I even noticed at the grocery the other day, a big brand detergent had a no optical brighteners and no fragrance detergent for men who hunt. Lol. It’s a start! -
Question: Is this detergent good for all clothes not just diapers without fading and dingyness ?
Answer: We had used it some on other clothes and had no issue. Typically though we use All Free&Clear on our other clothes because we get it Almost free with couponing. I have been pleased with Country Save for our diapers and wipes and anything else that mKes it into that load. We recently had a cloth diaper service test the PH of our diapers (the ultimate test for any CD Mom) and I was proud to see it was very close to the same result they achieve with their professional method. I wash on cold or warm with no detergent first and then a hot wash with detergent and an extra rinse. -
Question: How many loads is the 5lb box good for?
Answer: I have been using this for about 5months. I use this just for my cloth diapers which I was 2-3 times per week and so far I have only used 1/4 of the box, if that. I only use about 1 teaspoon or so per load.
