Question: Does it work as well as the Rain-X without the glass cleaner?
Answer: As far as I can tell, yes. Water still beads up and rolls right off even 4-8 weeks after application on side & rear windows of my car. Windshield treatment lasts me 1-2 weeks depending on how much I use my wipers. I hope this helps! -
Question: Can this product be used for home windows (outdoor side of course)?
Answer: No! I tried it. What a mess. My windows looked foggy every morning! -
Question: I have an outdoor deck with glass panels, will it work on it?
Answer: The product is a glass cleaner and should work and less your panels or plastic of some sort -
Question: Does it work on plexiglass
Answer: Yes and works very well. -
Question: Is this ok to use on solar panels?
Answer: I wouldn't use anything with a coating on solar panels. The coating would likely block some light from getting to the solar cells and you'll lose efficiency. -
Question: Does it contain ammonia?
Answer: The ingredients are not listed on the label, however you can call them with questions at 1-855-888-1990 -
Question: after applying this to your windshield, will a trip through the car wash remove it or lessen its effectiveness?
Answer: A trip through the car wash shouldn’t affect it noticeably. With that said, I do not recommend this product whatsoever. It streaked horribly even on already cleaned windshields, following RainX instructions. I ended up throwing both of my bottles away and buying ammonia glass cleaner to clean the windshields and straight up rainX water repellent itself. Never again will I purchase this product. -
Question: Can you give me a little more information about it or related products?
Answer: This product works as advertised. It cleans your windshield but the reason I use it is for the RainX. It works great, lasts about 3-4 days. I use it before projected bad weather so my windshield stays clean. Snow doesn't stick nearly as much also. One drawback is that you really need to wipe it off well since it can leave behind streaks that you can see sometimes. But its a minor pain for the all the benefits of having crystal clear windows when it rains or snows. -
Question: Is this product really as good as advertised?
Answer: It cleans your windows and makes you windshield somewhat rain repellant. I have been using the product for years and will continue to buy it. I don't know what the ads say and maybe there is a better product but I am pretty happy with this one. -

Answer: No expiration date!
