Question: How does this broom retract from extended position to shorter one? Mine seems to have locked into the extended position!
Answer: If you hold it by the lower pole and twist the upper pole counter-clockwise, it will unlock. Twist the pole clockwise to lock it again. -
Question: I cant adjust the length of the broom. It keeps sliding up and down. I've tried everything. Can anyone help me with this?
Answer: I have had no problems with adjusting mine, yours may have a defect. When it gets to the length I need, I simply twist it as tight as possible, and untwist when done to have it properly fit into the dustpan and handle for storage. -
Question: How long is the broom when it is not extended? Can’t seem to find that dimension
Answer: The broom is 35” not extended and the pan & handle are 38 3/4” tall. -

Answer: My broom set was new; however, the broom did not last as long as I expected. I am talking about the handle extension. It stopped locking in place, .thus making the broom of no use for me. -

Question: How stiff are the bristles? I'd like one I can use for cat litter, which can be too heavy for many brooms. Thanks.
Answer: I use it to sweep kitty litter, but I use a dustless corn-based litter. I don't think they are stiff enough for big clay-based clumps. -
Question: Does it sweep dust under the dust pan?
Answer: It does not, which is such a plus. None of that going over and over a pile of dust just to get it in the pan. I had to trash another sweeper set I bought for that very reason. This one works! -

Answer: I gotta say in some cases- "Cheap is dear" This is worth every penny spent of it. I tried other cheap ones, but this has it beat in quality and convenience. -
Question: can the broom be used for cleaning up leaves on concrete?
Answer: I don’t see why not. What would be really helpful is that the dustpan has rubber teeth that let you clean the bristles of the broom. I imagine that would be fine for getting leaves out of the bristles. It is not a really heavy broom though, so I wouldn’t recommend sweeping leaves as it’s major use.
