Question: What is the thickness of this rope?
Answer: It is 8mm rope. You can zoom on the pic and see it. I just obtained mine in the mail, and it is 8mm. -
Question: Would this rope be safe for fish underwater in an aquarium?
Answer: It's 100% hemp, so I would say yes. However, know that this is bondage rope. It is meant for that and only that. -
Question: Would you recommend treating the rope - ie boiling, washing, oiling??
Answer: Hemp rope can be washed in the washing machine. Place rope in a lingerie bag, using delicate cycle setting and cold water. Add a mild detergent. Let rope hang in loose coils until completely dry. Make sure the rope is completely dry before oiling, storing or using. Hang dry in in loose coils and re stretch once completely dry. -
Question: Is this cotton or what?
Answer: The rope is made of polypropylene, which has a silk like feel but the material does not absorb water/sweat like silk or nylon. -
Question: Is the quality of this rope strong enough to use instead of sisal on a cat tree...???
Answer: Probably but there are probably less expensive options.
