Question: will it remove chlorine and protect neoprene wet suit?
Answer: i don't know if it actually removes chlorine or if it just neutralizes the scent...Also, I haven't used it to wash a neoprene wet suit (only "traditional" swimwear such as bathing suits and rash guards)...I am very satisfied with the product because it does reduce the chlorine odor and is gentle on bathing suit fabric... -
Question: Does this remove chlorine, bromine, and salt from the ocean? how does it compare to solmar suit saver?
Answer: Splash essentially works like a slat water pool except in reverse. Salt water pools work by turning salt into chlorine. Splash in effect turns chlorine back into salt that actually helps to soften the water and increasing cleaning action and soil removal. Common salt is actually chemically known as Sodium Chloride (NA CL). The actual amount of salt produced is minimal and will not affect the fabric. Splash's gentle cleansers also remove ocean water salt residue by dissolving it and allowing it to rinse it out. Unlike the chlorine the salt does not change chemical state. I hope that helps. -
Question: Is the detergent safe for HE washing machines?
Answer: I am not sure . It would take to much of detergent to wash a load in washer . I wash and soak mine in sink. -
Question: Will it remove mold
Answer: I've only used it for removing chlorine smell. I would think regular detergent would defeat a moldy smell on a clothing item. But if you are talking about a mold *stain*, no, this isn't a stain remover. -
Question: Is this a real sudsy product ?
Answer: No, it's not real sudsy. It does create a little bit of suds but not a lot. It does however take the chlorine smell out of swimsuits and is less harsh on swimsuits than regular laundry detergent. -
Question: do i need to rinse suit after?
Answer: I do. I soak my suit in it for a few minutes, swish it around, rinse it then put it in the the wash ton spin to get excess water out then lay flat to dry. -
Question: How well does this product work to remove sunscreen stains?
Answer: I found it ineffective removing swimming pool additives. When I soaked it in this solution, then dried it on a sweater dryer, the dryer material had a black line around the edges of the swimsuit. What I found most effective in keeping the suit clean and less fading was vinegar. Soak your swimsuit in it before your first use and every time you wear it. Sorry I never got sunscreen on my suit. -
Question: Will residue left in the suit affect the pH of a hot tub?
Answer: what "residue" are you referring to? if it's the "residue" from swimsuit wash, perhaps you should rinse it more thoroughly...otherwise, as I am not a chemist nor an expert on the PH levels of hot tubs, I cannot give you a knowledgeable response... -
Question: I have a suit with white polka dots that have yellowed from chlorine. Will this wash brighten them again?
Answer: I doubt it, yet I have a navy suit with white polka dots and a citron suit with white polka dots, but the dots haven't yellowed from the chlorine in the pool...Again, I doubt it, but give it a try...It may work... -
Question: How many washes will this bottle provide? And, how much do you use at a time?
