Question: Can i heat this to make hot chocolate?
Answer: You could but I would not recommend it. It won't taste right, but more importantly heat will damage the enzymes and the probiotics. Worse yet, there is maca powder in here and heating that causes it to gelatinize (it is a starch, heating any starch has this effect), so you'd basically be turning it into cook and serve pudding. That may be fine if you want to eat it with a spoon, but it is not pleasant to choke down in a mug. I've found this as a side effect of blending to long in a vitamix even if I don't have frozen fruit or ice in it as it quickly heats up and thickens like paste. If you want a nice hot chocolate that is healthy for you, get some raw cacoa and mix in some honey or stevia and your milk of choice to taste ( http://amzn.to/2dRv5a2 ), just heat the milk a bit and toss it all in a vitamix and it whips up nice and frothy and delicious. -
Question: Is it kosher
Answer: It does not have kosher designation. All plant based vegan and gluten free ingredients however. -
Question: Would this be a good product to mix with a fruit and almond milk smoothie?
Answer: Yes! I use it every single day mixed with almond milk & frozen fruit--berries & bananas, mostly--and add some Stevia. Tastes like a milkshake! I make extra & freeze it in cubes. I've had the French Vanilla flavor when I can't find the Vanilla Chai. I'm thinking of branching into Chocolate... -
Question: what is a complete amino acid profile?
Answer: I'm not sure, that wasn't one of the things I was looking at when buying. I was concerned more with the sugar and carb ratio as well as the vitamin content... hopefully another user can help or the Internet search possibly? Sorry I'm not more helpful. This is my first type of product in the Health area... -
Question: Does this product taste like the Vega Protein and Greens (white and blue label)?
Answer: I think it tastes better than the protein and greens. The One blends smoother and has a better overall taste. -
Question: How many ounces per scoop for the serving? I couldn't see listed in pics.
Answer: The scoop/serving is 41 grams, approximately 20 serving in the large container I purchased. I also use Almond Milk and a little water to mix it up with. Sometimes I use it with fresh cut fruit drinks. -
Question: Serving size is 1 scoop, about 20 scoops per container. So if I want to take this twice a day I will need about 2 containers a month?
Answer: You would need 3 containers per month. One container would last about 10 days, at two scoops per day. -
Question: "6 servings of greens" does that mean 6 servings of vegetables?
Answer: The 6 servings of greens are the nutrient dense, superfoods of broccoli, kale, spirulina and chlorella (3cups). They combined have the benefits of chlorophyll, the cruciferous benefits , iron with the high energy benefits of spirulina dn chlorlla. Other vegetables and fruits are used for food-based vitamins and minerals to fulfill the 50% daily intake. Hope that helps. I really enjoy and benefit healthwise from this product and have used it for several years now. I also like that it is no added sugar, vegan, gluten free, and has probiotics and high ORAC. -
Question: Will I gain weight if I drink the shake and I don't exercise a lot?
Answer: I've used to drink this in the mornings or afternoons during and after pregnancy because I have GERD consuming full meals is difficult. This was gentle on my digestive system while still nutritional. After pregnancy I didn't notice any weight gain while taking this. I stopped drinking it for a few years dues to having a tight budget and I plan to start drinking it again. I miss the flavor and nutritional value. It's better than a bowl of cereal and sometimes I don't have time for a full breakfast. I love adding it to iced green tea or blending it.
