Question: What is the difference between the proflex and the regular?
Answer: Pro flex has removable batteries you can interchange to make them last longer wear the regular does not. -

Question: is it possible to use these in running shoes and run?
Answer: I don't use them for running but my experience with them I would say no. -
Question: how to wash them?
Answer: You can brush them off with a damp cloth. -
Question: would these work for snowboarding? keep in mind there would be high level of impact on the soles.
Answer: My wife had Hottronics insoles in her snowboard boots for years and they worked well but are way too expensive and you have to cut a slot in the boot liner and run the flat wire up the inside of the boot to the battery compartment (which by the way would fall off inside the cuff of her snowpants). The wire would get twisted and cause issues for her. I didn't want to spend over $200 for Hottronics so I searched and found some of these ThermaCELL insoles. I decided to try them as the price was WAY cheaper. I was skeptical when I first got them - this was 3 years ago - but I wholeheartedly endorse them now! I just used them last week (snowboarding) and had to turn them off as even the lower setting was getting too hot! My wife just got new boots 2 years ago and the liner does not come out of the boot so I am on-line today looking for some of these for her new boots. **Mine must be older because the batteries do not come out of the inserts. This should be a nice upgrade! - I don't know what happened to "George the Hunter" but mine worked as intended. When these wear out, I will be looking for the new and improved model. ***My wife and I are pretty hard core snowboarders! -
Question: Do you have to take them out of the boots when walking or can you keep them in all the time?? I was told you we’re not supposed to leave them in
Answer: I walked to and from my treestand while hunting. I think you can leave to them in. -
Question: How long does the battery last
Answer: Actually quite awhile, I used last winter in extremely cold weather while I was bow hunting. It also depends on what setting you use (3) how long the battery lasts. -

Answer: 11.5-13 for XXL in mens. -
Question: Are they high impact? Would they do ok in a ski or snowboard boot?
Answer: They do not work as well in ski boots as they tend to fit tightly, but they DO work well in snowboard boots.
