Question: Has anyone tried both Bulletproof's Brain Octane oil and this product? if so, how do you think one compares to the other?
Answer: I've tried three brands: Bulletproof, Sport Research and Organic Diet. I did like Sport Research: I had used it for 18 months before my uncle advised me to try Organic Diet and I did. I liked the idea to add hemp oil to MCT-oil, as it decreases the stress level and helps me to get rid of diet anxiety. So I think Organic Diet is 5/5, Bulletproof and Sport Research are both 4/5. But I think Sport Research is a bit more tasty and less smelly. -
Question: So I purchased organic coconut oil in the tub.. is there any difference in taking a tablespoon of that versus taking a tablespoon of this?
Answer: With respect to the broad claim that MCT oil, in general, does not contain lauric acid, whereas coconut oil [in a tub does], I believe that claim is now out of date. It may have been valid in 2014, but it bears pointing out that this particular MCT oil brand does indeed contain lauric acid., and the manufacturer stresses that in the product description. -
Question: Safety instructions say not to use styrofoam. On travel days, if I add to my smoothie, is styrofoam container ok then?
Answer: Styrofoam contains PFAS, which has been found to be carcinogenic and does not break down in the environment. I would guess that if the package specifically recommends not using it with styrofoam, then it may encourage PFAS (or some other chemical) to leach into your drink. -
Question: does it taste like coconut oil, i cant stand the smell of regular coconut oil or the taste.

Question: I don't see a usda organic label on it. so it is not organic, right?
Answer: It is extracted from 100% Organic Coconuts however, it is processed to obtain the Medium-chain triglycerides and we can not label the finished product with the USDA Organic label. -
Question: What's the difference in this product compared to just having coconut oil? I normally just have add teaspoons of coconut oil to my cooking
Answer: MCT oils don't have Lauric Acid, which coconut oil does. While lauric is technically an MCT, your liver processes it differently than other MCT's (the others are used as straight energy, lauric needs to be broken down further first). Lauric Acid is a good fat, it just doesn't get used as straight energy the MCT's are. -
Question: Does this need to be refrigerated for any reason?
Answer: Need refrigeration after opening? -

Answer: Of course it is. If they’re extracting something from something else it is ALWAYS refined. -
Question: How much MCT per tablespoon?
Answer: Hi! The bottle shows that 1tablespoon is 15 ml. and that is the serving size. It reports that there are approximately 63 servings. HOWEVER, in the instructions, it says to "begin by using 1 tablespoon per day until personal tolerance is reached, as excessive consumption may cause digestive discomfort. May consume up to 3 tablespoons per day." I guess the expectation is that the consumer will not just take 1 tablespoon a day unless tolerance is not reached, and tolerance is mostly noticed by how close a relationship the consumer is experiencing with the restroom. Distance makes the heart grow fonder and shows higher tolerance. -
Question: What is the difference between mct with coconut oil over palm oil? is one better than the other?
Answer: Mct oil, derived from coconut oil, is a little healthier but significantly more environmentally sustainable. The harvesting of palm kernels results in massive deforestation. Save a few trees and stick to coconut based oils :)
