Question: Someone mentioned this was grown or comes from India. Does anyone have any other info on this and how can we be sure of the quality control in India?
Answer: W.C. says on January 10, 2018 no companies "independently test" for BMAA. I completely agree with the "independent test" for BMAA assertion. I have found a couple other Spirulina companies which state they "independently test" for BMAA. I am not sure of the exact company they use to independently test their product however. -

Question: What are the chances of it being contaminated with microcystins?
Answer: I've researched and there are no Spirulina brands so far that can produce independent lab test results for cyanobacteria/BMAA testing. All we hear are claims that their products are cyanobacteria/BMAA free, such as being grown in controlled ponds or drying process does not allow BMAA and other explanations without any test results to back it up. Answer: it is organic growth I have been using it for over 15 years and havent had a cold or flu and I am 65 years old and active so be it -
Question: Can you tell me about the taste? how does it taste on it's own, and how about when mixed with foods? any tips? i have a very picky kid. thanks!
Answer: I do not eat it on its own, but mix it smoothies. I make a great one with spinach, kale, almond milk, avocado, banana, apple, spirulina, and a 1/2 tsp mint extract. Tastes great and is much more healthy than the fast food mint shake! -
Question: Does Spirulina have any nuts or peanuts in it?
Answer: No it does not. It is 100% organic spirulina. -
Question: Is the container glass or plastic?
Answer: The container is plastic, and, unbelievably, is nearly full!!! Not like another product I bought that was less than half full. The product is easy to scoop out, but no scoop is included, however the serving size is 1 teaspoon. -
Question: How do i order your phycocyanin spirulina?
Answer: Our Spirulina naturally has higher levels of phycocyanin. We no longer sell 2 different versions - this is the one you would buy, it has the increased phycocyanin levels.
