Question: what's the weight limit?
Answer: Product description say it will support up to 500 lbs. I weigh a little more that 300 lbs. The commode is quite sturdy and I think it can easily support up to 500 lbs. -
Question: Is this seat 29 inches wide?
Answer: The seat is 23in side arm to side arm is about 28 1/2in apart. Hope that helps. It is a sturdy commode. -
Question: are both sides drop arm?
Answer: Yes, both sides drop down -
Question: Does seat lift up so you can empty the bucket?
Answer: There is no lift up seat. The bucket slides in/out underneath the opening. -
Question: the opening in the seat looks quite small. Is their any possibility of an accident when using this chair to eliminate stools?
Answer: This is a very good commode and the opening could be a little wider. However we have not experienced any problems or accidents with it. -
Question: Does it fit over a toilet?
Answer: Yes it fits over a toilet. That's how I use it. However, it does not come with a splashguard, only a bucket. Fortunately, I had an extra splashguard, but if using it over a toilet you really need the splashguard. -
Question: what's the weight limit?
Answer: I don't know but my husband is 230 pounds and it is fine for him. It is very sturdy. -
Question: Does the bucket fit securely underneath? Any gap or loose fitting bucket?
Answer: No gap. Fits well. But this is a very heavy item; we bought a separate shower chair since this is not easy to move. -
Question: Are the drop arms sturdy on this particular model? Are there problems with the arms collapsing when getting "on" or "off" the commode?
Answer: We haven't had any problems with our commode. We got it not because my mother was large. We got it because we needed the extra width for using a slide from a wheelchair. It was perfect. -
Question: Are there extra rubber cups for the legs on the commode?
Answer: no
