    Product Description

    Overview

Color:Orange The DMV Scleral Cup is an excellent tool to simply and easily remove and insert larger hard and scleral contact lenses as well as prosthetic eyes. FOR SCLERAL LENS REMOVAL - Squeeze the tapered handle of the DMV Scleral Cup and carefully apply it to the surface of the scleral contact lens. When the suction cup has been seated properly on the lens, release the squeeze pressure to apply suction and gently remove the contact lens from the eye. You may wish to place the Scleral Cup in the center of the lens. Remove the contact lens from the Scleral Cup by squeezing the handle again. FOR SCLERAL LENS INSERTION - Lightly squeeze the handle of the Scleral Cup and place the properly wetted contact lens on the open end of the cup. Gently position the contact lens on the surface of the eye. Squeeze the handle again to release the Scleral Cup from the lens. FOR PROSTHETIC EYE REMOVAL - Squeeze the tapered handle of the DMV Scleral Cup and carefully apply it onto the surface of the prosthetic eye. When the Scleral! Cup has been seated properly on the prosthesis, release the squeeze pressure to apply suction and gently remove the prosthesis from the eye socket. Remove the prosthesis from the Scleral Cup by squeezing the handle again. CLEANING: Wash the Scleral Cup frequently in warm soapy water and allow to air dry.

    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: Is this the vented scleral cup inserter? or the non-vented one?

Answer: Non vented but you can cut the bottom off
    • Question: Anyone know where to buy cheaper knockoffs? 4$ for a piece of rubber is quite a ripoff.

Answer: The DMV scleral cups are patented. Anything else would be an illegal product.
    • Question: Would this tool work for inserting OrthoK lenses (which are much smaller in diameter?

Answer: I use mine to take out my Schleral lens as it is like a suction cup. Not sure how it would work for insertion. Ask in the eye dept at any of the chain stores if you don't get an answer here.
    • Question: Anyone tried this for monthly/yearly circle lenses? Mines are not soft lenses and I have toric lenses for astigmatism.

Answer: Yes. I have hard contacts and I love this tool. I have bought more than one so I can always have one handy. I keep one in the car one in my purse. And one in my contact case.
    • Question: Do u hv a Secular Cup that attaches to a light

Answer: Are you asking if they have a lens handler that is attached to a light for better visibility? I haven't seen one (long time hard, hybrid, and now Sclera lens user). I would think using a lighted mirror might suit your needs. A mirror that is lite around the parameter and normally used to aid in makeup application.
    • Question: how long is this product?

Answer: My guess would be about an inch and a quarter. I can't tell you exactly because the first thing I do when I get these is to cut off the closed end so light can be seen thru it when putting in your lenses.
    • Question: What are the dimensions?

Answer: 1-3/8" long. Cup is 3/8" wide. Works well. Have to remember to squeeze and hold before touching the contact or prosthetic, then release the squeeze as you touch.

    Great item
The media could not be loaded.  I read reviews and someone said for the price it should have a case, it does come with a case and it was cheap for great quality. Even came with instructions. Very useful tool indeed.

    Works great!
I liked that there is no suction, you just use it to lay my Sclerolenses on to fill and insert in my eyes.
