3M Medipore H Soft Cloth Tape is a hypoallergenic, conformable tape which provides stronger adhesion for challenging applications. The tape is a non-woven polyester and is soft and gentle to skin, reducing the risk of skin irritation. Particularly useful for securing wound dressings, tubing and catheters. Porous and breathable. Easy to handle, with or without gloves, without curling edges, or sticking to itself. Easy-tear perforated rolls for quick tailoring. Excellent cross and diagonal stretch. Question: Would this tape stick to the stomach? Dr. suggests surgical tape to stabilize umbilical hernia.
Answer: Yes, it will stick to your abdominal area. The tape is very good in my opinion, hence the higher price. The way the roll is setup is so u can rip off predetrmined strips (appx 1 1/2 inches wide) or do that in multiple sheets. They are attached and stay together for as many of these strips as u want. I once wrapped it around my leg and it stayed on for 3 days. The tape is strong and doesn't irritate my skin and stays on hard spots like my toes and I even tested it on the addomen for you. It has now been on for 12 hours now and not even an edge is sticking off. I think this will work well for you. Good luck with it. -
Question: Would this be good for taping a kneecap to stop dislocation or is it too stretchy?
Answer: I don't think this tape would be strong enough to support the kneecap. Its good for holding bandages over a wound but I would not use it to provide support. -
Question: where is this tape made?
Answer: Made in the USA with globally sourced materials. At least that's what the packaging says. -
