Question: Can these be used for ages over 12 and if so is there a recommended dosage based on age or weight?
Answer: Hello, Thanks for the question! This product is certainly safe and effective for all ages, 4 and older. Once kids reach the teens, I would recommend two tablets a day to obtain more potency. You could also consider switching them to our Daily Probiotic once they reach their teen years if you want to stick to one tablet a day. I hope that is helpful! -

Question: If my child is unable to swallow the pearl, can they be chewable?
Answer: Hi! Thanks for your question. Yes they can be chewed but as others have stated they lose some of the potency because the BIO-tract delivery is a coating that slowly releases the probiotics in the intestines and if the pill is chewed it loses most of the time release benefit. However, we do slightly flavor our Kids formula so if your child has problems swallowing pills they can be chewed and will be just as effective as other chewable probiotics on the market. The pearl is super tiny and my 6, 7 and 10 year old can all swallow them just fine. Hope this helps! -

Question: I live in Phoenix. Is it safe to ship in the summer, when temps can reach 120 degrees?
Answer: Hello, while our processes and formulation make it so no refrigeration is required for the viability of the probiotic strains, extreme heat can be an issue. If the product is exposed to 120 degree heat for a prolonged period of time, it will certainly be detrimental to the probiotic organisms. We recommend you purchase enough supply that you will not need to reorder during those extreme temperatures in the summer. I hope that is helpful! -
Question: Is this probiotic filler free?
Answer: Hello, thanks for the question! We don’t have any fillers in our Kids probiotics (or any of our probiotics, for that matter). The “other ingredients”, listed on the label, make-up the matrix, which is the BIO-tract® delivery technology. Ingredients in this formula allow the tablet to form a gel barrier around the tablet as it is hydrated after being swallowed. You can see this for yourself if you want to sacrifice one of your tablets and drop it into a glass of water. You will see that as the tablet hydrates it begins forming a gel layer around the tablet, which protects the sensitive probiotic organisms from the harsh stomach acids. In addition, there are several ingredients in this “other ingredients” matrix, which combine to allow the tablet to be controlled-released. This technology distributes probiotics throughout the entire intestinal tract to allow the probiotic organisms to attach to sites in both the small and large intestines. A standard veggie capsule or gummy would most likely release all of the probiotics organisms in either the harsh stomach acids, where only a small percentage would survive to enter the intestinal tract alive, or would release them all in the small intestine, which would make it very difficult for any of the probiotic organisms to survive transit all the way to the large intestines. That is the long answer to a simple question, but I thought understanding what goes into the formula and why may be helpful. -
