    • Question: Can I open the capsule

      Answer: We do not recommend opening the capsules for the Pure Omega Ultra HP. Integrative Therapeutics is unable to speak of the efficacy and potency of the ingredients from an open capsule.
    • Question: What is the purification process and is product tested for heavy metals/toxins?

      Answer: The majority of Integrative Therapeutics' testing is done in-house, using validated methods established by USP, AOAC, and other compendia references. However, when it comes to new methodologies that they do not yet have experience in, or methods that utilize materials that require special handling - they turn to third party testing. The "how" is more important than the "where", to ensure they consistently use validated methodology and laboratory personnel experienced with the method and ingredient(s) to ensure that the testing is executed with the appropriate rigor. All Integrative Therapeutics products are tested for heavy metals, down to parts per million. If any raw material exceeds Integrative Therapeutic's limits, it is rejected entirely and will not make its way into their products.
    • Question: Is this GMO free?

      Answer: As it stands today, the non-GMO supply chain that delivers raw ingredients isn't at the level Integrative Therapeutics needs to meet both their demand and quality standards. Integrative Therapeutics currently sources over 150 unique ingredients that meet the Non-GMO Project verification standards. However, it's just a portion of their ingredients in use, and they are actively working towards verifying hundreds more. Ultimately, their focus is on continuing to support the implementation of federal regulations that formally define non-GMO, the associated labeling, and the increase in non-GMO and organic farming with the goal of creating a more robust, and transparent, ingredient supply chain. The Pure Omega Ultra HP Fish Oil Softgels is not identified as non-GMO at this time.
    • Question: What kind of gelatin in used in these capsules?

      Answer: The capsules are derived from a combination of bovine and porcine sources.

    Superior quality!
    My compounding pharmacist recommended a high dose of fish oil for my high cholesterol. I'm trying to avoid statins. She suggested the Integrative Therapeutics brand because of the quality. There's no fishy aftertaste, and although they are large, they're easy to swallow. I have high hopes that this product gets my cholesterol under control. We'll see.
