Question: What's the best ways to maximize absorption of this product?
Answer: Hi Serd, Great question as there are many opinions out there. Some say empty stomach. Some say with food. Some say without food. Some say under the tongue. I've never seen any research that shows one way is better over the other. I've seen no proven way for optimal absorption. Just do whatever is most convenient for you. Question: what is the ratio of this product?
Answer: Hey! Thanks for reaching out! Here is more information on our extract ratios: Our extracts range from 1:1 to 16:1 but we do not list them specifically as we believe extract ratios have only limited value when not accompanied with active compound testing. For example, without analytical testing there’s no way to know whether a 10:1 extract is more concentrated than a 4:1 extract. It is also possible to have two products with the same extract ratio yet with completely different levels of active compounds. Also note that the higher the extract ratio, the more dense and sticky the final product gets so in order to keep it as a free flowing powder, a carrier is often added. This will dilute the potency. This is why measurement of active compounds and starch is so important. Extract ratios can also be misrepresented. For example, fresh mushrooms are typically 90% water so the wet to dry ratio is 10:1. Some products use this ratio saying their products are a 10:1 extract (10lb of fresh mushrooms = 1lb of powder) when in reality it’s just a 1:1 (1lb of dried mushrooms = 1lb of powder). All extract ratios should be based off dry weight. Without analytical testing of active compounds and starch measurements to show purity, extract ratios have limited value. Higher extract ratio does not equate to higher potency. For these reasons, we do not specifically publish our extract ratios. If you’d like to know, just contact us. Hence why we list the greater than amounts on the label. A unique feature to Cordyceps Militaris is that it displays higher levels of cordycepin. It also has greater levels of beta glucans (30% beta glucans) compared to Cs-4, which typically has around 10% beta glucans. Cordyceps Militaris seems to display many of the same health benefits that wild cordyceps has. -

Question: The fruiting body of Cordyceps is orange which is due to non-water soluble anthraquinones.These are bioactive. Why don't you sell an organic extract?

Question: I have noticed that your other products are dual extract, why is this product not dual extract?
Answer: Hi M. Trader, Some of our ingredients are dual extracts, like our Reishi 415 and the Reishi and Chaga in our 5 Defenders. These are premium, higher ratio extracts, hence the higher price point. We do this for Reishi and Chaga due to their beneficial triterpene compounds which are primarily non-water soluble so alcohol is required in order to extract them. For Cordyceps, the research hasn't shown the same level of non-water soluble constituents so we stay with a hot water extract. Note that any products made in the USA are typically not mushroom but mycelium grown on grain. The grain material that the mycelium grows on ends up being a significant portion of these products. Read your supplements panel very closely and look for the words "mycelium", "myceliated brown rice", "mycelial biomass" or other derivatives of mycelium.
