Question: How well does this work for reading something like a paperback novel? Will it lose focus if raised some at the end of a line where the binding is?
Answer: It works okay for that, but it’s better suited for looking at plans and design drawings where you can leave it resting on the area you are focusing on. I tried it with a soft back book just now and you may want to get over the counter reader glasses instead of this. It would turn into a bunch of work to slide this around to read a book, it would get old quick, although it works. -
Question: does this actually have 5x magnification or figment of sellers mind?
Answer: Really it has 5x. I use it for reading P&ID's that are 11×17 print format. -
Question: Where are these made?
Answer: I would imagine China because the price is so good. They work fantastic! Someone at work had one and gave me info on how to order one. I liked it so much I got one for my mom. It comes in a nice box and makes a great present with just a bow on top. -
Question: Are these perfectly flat on the bottom?
Answer: Yes, the Yoctosun Acrylic Magnifier is flat at the bottom. Love my magnifier!
