Question: What is included in the package?
Answer: The package includes an aneroid sphygmomanometer, an adult-sized black cuff, a sprague rappaport stethoscope, and a carrying case. -
Question: What body types is this monitor suitable for?
Answer: The nylon cuff is adjustable and suitable for measuring blood pressure in any body form. -
Question: Is the air needle calibrated for accuracy?
Answer: Yes, the metal air needle is calibrated for accurate and reliable readings with every use. -
Question: Every time I inflate the cuff, the Velcro comes loose. Am I doing this wrong?
Answer: The cuff itself is actually backwards compared to many other cuffs. At first I had the same problem, but as soon as I rotated it and switched it around, the problem resolved. Only one part of the cuff inflates (that’s just this particular cuff’s design) so you definitely have to have it on the right way or it will completely fall off of the arm. -
Question: Can you use it with one hand? In other words, can I get the cuff on by myself?
Answer: It's not easy, but it's doable. I've actually checked my own bp before with a cuff & stethoscope. But cuffs like this aren't designed for that. -
Question: When I went to use it today, I could not pump it up...I have only used this a token few times. Do you stand by your product?
Answer: I have used it multiple times with no issues. Try checking the tubing for a pinch and the connections to the gauge and pumper. Back in the day, these were the most common problems for not being able to pump it up. (tubing does loses its rigidity over time....gets mushy) Good luck! -
Question: Can I use it on a small kid? Or at least change the cuff to pediatric size?
Answer: The size I got would be much too large for a child. And I don't think you can remove the cuff. -
Question: Is the case large enough to hold the cuff and stethoscope without trouble?
Answer: No, the cuff does not come with a stethoscope and is not large enough to accommodate one. It holds the cuff only easily. -
Question: Is this calibrated?
Answer: Yes. It is ready to use out of the box. My medical assistant instructor got the same numbers I did.
