Question: will this work with a 29 wheel base
Answer: It would be tight. from the outside edges of the non-slip surface it is 28.5" wide, but the distance between the outside guard rims is 30.5". -
Question: I want to carry this around with my dad's wheelchair. Is it appropriate for mobile use or does it have to be permanently installed somewhere?
Answer: It's a bit heavy, but not bad. The ramp has two pins and two holes at the top. You drill two holes in the threshold of the door. Then you stick the two pins in the holes. The pins hold it in place. If you wish you can pull the pins to make it mobile. It folds in half. No more than two steps high ( recommended ). -
Question: Does this item really weight 37lbs?
Answer: I didn't weigh the item so i'm not sure. I will say that I was able to lift the item by the handle without much difficulty using one hand. Hopefully this info is helpful for you. -
Question: Would this work over 2 steps with a 13" rise or recommendations
Answer: I think it would depend on whether you are trying to walk up it or if you're pushing someone up at in a wheelchair if you're trying to walk it it might be a little bit steep if you're pushing someone as long as they're not too heavy it would probably work I use mine to make a ramp to walk up to get into my car so I have it put on a block of railroad ties that's probably 6 to 8 inches ta -
Question: will it work for two steps?
Answer: The guide lines say you should have one foot length for every inch of rise. We were pushing it to use the 4 foot ramp for a 6 inch step. it worked, so the answer would be how much rise in the 2 steps, and how steep do you want the slope to be? -

Question: How much weight will the ramp support?
Answer: It would depend upon where and how it's installed. I have a 14" slab/rise from the garage to the house with no stairs to support the ramp. Too high for me to step up. The ramp flexes in the middle but not enough to have caused any damage to the ramp. I've had it for 3 years. If it's installed over concrete steps, for example, I would think 300+ pounds would be easily supported. I think the manufacturer stated 500 pounds. -
Question: Can I hook it on tailgate of a truck
Answer: I wouldn't do that. Way too steep of an angle. There is a 2 inch piece at the top with holes in it that I have screwed into the door ledge to keep it from slipping back when my wife goes up in her power chair. It is bridging a 6 1/2 inch rise. A tailgate would be way too high for this. There are longer versions of this for greater heights. Also depends on what you want to go up and down with. A wheel chair or power chair would require a MUCH longer ramp. -
Question: The Engines that hold the rent together
Answer: I don't understand your question. However it's a very good product. I'm a solid 230 pounds and used it to take my patient on sitting in a wheelchair. Definitely recommend it.
