Question: Will this work with a analog cell phone?
Answer: I do not have a cell phone but I really don't think it will. It requires a ring voltage which is around 90 volts. -

Answer: No. It works with a phone line. -
Question: can the volume be turned off completely (I only want the visual notification)?
Answer: Yes. There is a on-ff button for ringer on back. Light still flashes. -
Question: Work for voip phones?
Answer: yes it does; I have one with Time Warner; it's a great unit and I am very pleased with it. -
Question: will this work on a 2-line phone
Answer: It will work on one line only. You'll need two ringer, one per line, if you desire both to ring. The device does have three settings allowing different tones. -
Question: how dose this work with hand held phones ?
Answer: You take the line from the wall that goes to your phone now and plug it into this device. Then take a second line from this device and plug into your phone. A small line comes with the device, you may want to buy a longer one. -
Question: Does the light stay on while the phone is in use?
Answer: No, only when the phone calls, it blinks. -
Question: does it work on 48 volts coming from home phone direct by verison?
Answer: Mom has a land line. Verizon is the carrier. It works great. I have no idea of what the voltage is. Just plugged into wall line then plugged a second line into her phone. I bought a another line for that because they included one only 18 inches long.
