Question: Why does this product state "l-glycine" instead of just "glycine", there is no such thing as l-glycine?
Answer: There are two natural forms of amino acids in general, when the molecule is put into a solution, it will polarize and rotate light either to the left or right. The Greek words denoting left and right are Levo for left and Dextro for right, so the letters L and D are used to distinguish these forms. These are typically the “L form”, as in L-arginine, L-cysteine, etc. Synthetic forms are denoted as “D forms”, such as D-Methionine and D-Carnitine. But there are 2 aminos that have only one form without these variations: Glycine and Taurine. These two aminos are sometimes called L-Taurine or L-Glycine, but are more properly called just “Taurine” and “Glycine”. Regardless of the name used, they are always natural amino acids. -
Question: Ad text states non-gmo, however this appears nowhere on the packaging, not even "free of:" gmos. pharma grade does not mean non-gmo. what's up?
Answer: i'm sorry you were called ignorant simply for asking a question. It does matter as glycine is an amino acid that is derived from protein animal / vegetable, etc. So it does matter as all elements are negatively affected by GMOs. Also, it is unethical to support that industry so I will pass on this product. Thank you for asking the question as I was looking to see what it they were saying on the packaging. They should tell us directly what the glycine is derived from in all respects. Your sister of similar core values :) -
Question: What is the taste like?
Answer: I just received mine and after 2 hours of tennis and a 1.5 hour resistance training gym workout took a scoop (looks like about 1/2 a teaspoon) in a 16 oz. glass of filtered water and it was...delicious! Very pleasantly surprised. Mild sweet taste and made the water taste like a cocktail. Great way to hydrate. Very easy to drink so I will be imbibing after exercise and workouts, as suggested on the package. Way too early to tell if there are any noticeable benefits but I expect some or I wouldn't have ordered it. -

Question: The powder i received has an acidic aftertaste. it doesn't taste sweet at all. did i receive a bad batch?
Answer: The 1kg bag of Glycine powder I bought has the date 12/21 on the back. Below that is what I assume to be the batch number: 181214. I don't get any weird aftertaste. Check what you're putting in your mouth before and after and test again. Could you be taking any medicines that would affect your taste? Could be you have some impurities in that batch. Don't know. Just letting you know that my bag's ok. -
Question: Is this usp grade or tecnical grade?
Answer: This company, along with two others I purchase from, claim it is HIGHEST GRADE. Also, they promote sustainability. Don't know if that answers your question or not but legally, they cannot claim it is highest grade if it isn't. I LOVE this stuff. I also purchase from purebulk and bulksupplements. -
Question: Why does the url say collagen-peptides-grass-fed-pasture-raised-gluten-free if this is vegan?
Answer: I don't know, it is possible that not vegan... But don't worry, I can firmly state that the product is EFFICIENT! I take about 1 teaspoon L-Glycine powder every evening, and it makes me beautiful dreams... -
Question: I’m looking for animal based Glycine. Is this plant or animal based?
Answer: I wish I knew, friend. For what it's worth, I assume it's animal based because plant-based supplements often have labels highlighting that the product is plant based.
