    • Fold-over flaps tuck around and under the mattress to eliminate any movement of the pad.
    • It is placed over the bottom sheet to protect the mattress and sheets from moisture and stains. It absorbs quickly and locks in moisture for the best skin care.

      Answer: The plastic is thick, so the edges are leak proof. Though it is not used as a mattress protector.

    An ounce of prevention
    Bought the pad in anticipation of being bedfast a few days after hip replacement surgery, was concerned that I wouldn't be able to move fast enough to get to the commode. Works like a charm, added friction allows purchase on the bed so I can move fast enough to get to the commode. Classic case of an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure. I can see, though, that it might be a bit warm during the summer months, but altogether a good buy,

    Incontinence protection of bedding. Not a good product for absorbency and allows moisture to leak through.

    Prevents moisture from getting into mattress
    As a result of excessive sweating or incontinence, the odor and moisture will seep into the mattress and cause major issues. This absorbent layer prevents that and is only slightly noticeable. The durability cannot be really evaluated because I just got he product. It works and desired for now.
