Question: How do i change my braun thermoscan 6500 from celcius to farenheit?
Answer: We will be happy to assist you. Here are step by step instructions on how to change your thermometer’s temperature scale: •Press and hold the start button. •The thermometer will turn on and show the start screen, where you will see all of the symbols on the display. •Continue holding the button down, it will show C or F for one second and then change to say SET for one second. •The pattern will continue as you hold down the start button. F → SET → C → SET •To select the option you want, release the activation/start button when the setting you want appears on the screen. Answer: Apparently, you can switch back and forth between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Press start button for 8 seconds until it switches between the two settings. Changing the temperature scale Your Braun ThermoScan is delivered to you with the Celsius (°C) temperature scale activated. If you wish to switch to Fahrenheit (°F), proceed as follows: Make sure the thermometer is turned off. Press and hold down the «start» button. After about 8 seconds the display will show this sequence: «°C» / «°F» /... Release the «start» button when «°F» is shown. There will be a short beep to confirm the new setting, the thermometer then turns off automatically. Answer: That is a good question Stephanie. This thermometer is calibrated to read the temperature with the probe tip cover on it. If you do not have a disposable probe tip cover on the thermometer, it can provide a faulty reading, as well as expose the sensor to damage. We advise only using this thermometer with a disposable probe tip cover on it. Question: How do i clear the memory?
Answer: We will be happy to clarify this. This thermometer can hold a memory of 9 past recordings. Once you take a 10th temperature recording, the oldest temperature in the memory will be forgotten. Question: The product description says a 3 volt lithium battery is included. the product detail paragraph says it uses an included aaa battery! which is it??
Answer: It is the round button battery. I wish it was a AAA, so much easier to replace.
