    • Question: How big is the pill? Can you take a photo of it in your palm so I can see? Thanks!

      Answer: They are large and hard to swallow. I much preferred the tiny tabs. Even cutting these in half, while a real hassle, does not help much.
    • Question: I have been taking this product for many years and the last order I received had a very bad smell when I opened it. Has anyone else experienced this?

      Answer: Last two bottles I received had a bad smell. I contacted New Chapter and they have changed the formula. I am going to try another dose and see if it still causes nausea. They are using a new type of algae that is causing the smell. The tablets are not as brown and are not smooth like before. So, the tablets are fine, they just smell. The older version never smelled like this one.
    • Question: Is algae source still source of calcium carbonate?

      Answer: I know that this product keeps my tailbone in good shape so I do not have pain
    • Question: Is this product calcium citrate or calcium carbonate ?

      Answer: Red marine algae contains mostly calcium carbonate, but it also contains a considerable amount of other minerals. It is believed that these additional minerals are the cause of the extra benefits obtained from the consumption of red mineral algae supplements compared to most regular calcium supplements.
    • Question: What calcium has simalar Ingrid to oscal

      Answer: New Chapter Bone Strength uses an algae-based calcium source. With this, the other ingredients, and New Chapter's method of preparing the calcium, it is much better absorbed, going to the bones and not secreted. It's an excellent product. I actually built bone naturally from the use of this product (no nasty "bone building" drugs.) This is a superior calcium/bone building product.
    • Question: Is it new? what is the expiration date now? does it contain maltodextrin? is it non gmo?

      Answer: Yes and nicely packaged. Expiration on bottle I just received is 01/21. It does contain organic maltodextrin. It is Non GMO. I have been taking this product for about 10 months. My last Dexa scan indicated that my osteoporosis had reversed back to osteopenia. T scores have improved. This is the only calcium supplement I take. Hope this helps in your decision making.
    • Question: What is the mgs of eat vitamin pet dose?

      Answer: If you scroll through the images you will see all. Vit D3 1,000 IUs, Vit K1 35mcg, Vit K2 45 mcg, Calcium 770 mg, Magnesium 58 mg, and 3 more you can see on label. In 2 years this took my bone density from -2.1 to -1.6 - osteoporosis to osteopenia!
    • Question: Does this replace Glucosamine?

      Answer: No, it is for bone strength. I started it about 7 years ago after a bone density tests indicated osteopenia and osteoporosis. It concentrates on STRENGTH of my bones, instead of density, since prescription meds for increased density can cause BRITTLE bones. I am very happy in my improvement.
    • Question: Carbonate doesn't get absorbed as fast as citrate does it?? does.

      Answer: Calcium citrate is best! I like New Chapter Bone Strength. It’s made from plant calcium. It does not clog arteries or kidneys. One tablet dissolves completely in water!!!!
    • Question: Size of pills

      Answer: These are Slim Tablets, (1/4" wide) So they are smaller than standard size. The main factor in these are that they are PLANT based, Not hard rock mineral. Which makes them organic, plus Vitamin D3 (for absorption) & Vitamin K2 & magnesium for added benefits.

    Love New Chapter vitamins
    I’ve taken a lot of different vitamins over the years, and these are the highest quality vitamins I can find. Sure they are a bit more expensive but they are worth it with no side effects from overdosage or cheap vitamins having ingredients that aren’t listed.

    It works and has helped to increase my bone density.
    I am 76 years old and have been using this New Chapter Bone Strength supplement for 8 years. At that time, my bone density test revealed that I had Osteoporosis and was subject to easily breaking my bones. I found this supplement, and have been taking it consistently for the last 8 years. Since then, I have had the bone density tests done every 2 years as recommended, and each time my bone density has increased in all of my joints. The latest test was done the month, and again, there was an increase in bone density even though I am getting older. 8 years ago, my doctor suggested I take Fosamax, but refused to take it after reading the possible side effects. My doctor has been impressed that my bone density has increased for each test. I do also take a vitamin D3 supplement and Ester-C which help with calcium absorption. This is one supplement I will continue to take. Increasing bone density as you age is definitely a good thing. I hope this review was helpful for you.

    Changed the packaging!
    I started with these big tabs, but went to Tiny Tabs once I knew they existed. Then there was a Tiny Tab shortage so I had to go back to these bigger ones. The packaging is pretty ridiculous! I thought I had 2 gift boxes instead of 2 bottles of supplements. OK, they’re glass and they need padding. It’s a lot of cardboard, just sayin… I don’t know about the quality since I have to wait 2 years for a bone scan. But if you have trouble swallowing pills, the Tiny tabs are better.
