Question: My cleaning lady likes to use bleach to clean - is this an effective alternative? Thanks
Answer: The active ingredient in liquid bleach is sodium hypochlorite. The active ingredient in this product is sodium hypochlorite, so it's the same thing, not an alternative. I don't understand why people would pay $17 for 1/4 gallon of bleach and some added surfactant myself. I can buy 5 gallons of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite locally that is a day old or less (bleach degrades and weakens over time and is typically too weak to sanitize around the house about 90 days after it is bought off the store shelf per EPA standards). For the same $17 and have 20x as much, fresher and MUCH stronger than what this is for the same money because this product is probably about 5% or less sodium hypochlorite. I didn't see what percentage of active ingredient was in this product, and I'm assuming that is on purpose. -
Question: Does this kill Black mold or does it just beach it?
Answer: Good Morning, Unfortunately, RMR Solutions is unable to state that the RMR 86 actually kills mold due to not having an EPA registration number. We have been told from numerous contractors from their proven tests, that this product did in fact kill the mold spores. The RMR 86 is just the mold stain remover. Question: Would this work on a memory foam mattress?
Answer: I wouldn't recommend using any liquid period on a memory foam mattress. Moisture can ruin the foam and not just aestheticly. Think about a kitchen sponge, it never fully recovers to original form once wet and gets worse over time....that's essentially what you're doing to your bed. -
Question: Can this be used on an asphalt shingled roof to remove mildew stains
Answer: Hello, RMR-86 can be used on shingled roofs, just be sure to be careful and cover grass, bushes and ferns to prevent the product from killing any plant life from over spray. We have found that if you thoroughly water the plant life surrounding the work area, before and after spraying RMR-86, it will protect most plant life. Question: Can this product remove the yellow rust stain from house siding
Answer: RMR-86 was formulated for mold and mildew so I cannot say if it will work on those rust stains. -
Question: can it be sprayed on drywall?

Question: Can this be used to clean the mold in the washing machine?

Answer: I don’t know, but I’ve never had mildew on coils. -

Answer: RMR-86 works great on caulking and drywall, however if may remove the paint and recommend testing it on a small area first to make sure you're satisfied with the results.
