Question: One of the ingredients, cholecalciferol, is derived from sheep, so is this actually not vegan?

While many D3 products use lanolin (from sheeps wool), our vegan D3+K2 uses VegaDELight sourced from lichen and is 100% plant based. Question: Are these considered emulsified?
Answer: Yes this is a form of unstable or unevenly mixed emulsion or not finely stable as a sustainable mixture - meaning not a stable even Blend in every soft gel - An emulsion is a mixture of two or more liquids that are normally immiscible (unmixable or unblendable). Emulsions are part of a more general class of two-phase systems of matter called colloids. Although the terms colloid and emulsion are sometimes used interchangeably, emulsion should be used when both phases, dispersed and continuous, are liquids. In an emulsion, one liquid (the dispersed phase) is dispersed in the other (the continuous phase). Sports Research Vitamin D3 with Coconut Oil Two forms of extracted Oils blended yet not completely evenly sustainable as a complete blend maintaining equality in every gel pill. They work well together Well for One Benefits the Other in multiple steps of digestion and absorption. Yet the level of Vitamin D and Coconut Oil Blend will be different in each gel pill because the unique process necessary to strain cold press blend without heat to maintain natural nutrient values and/or by use of low intensity melting heat below body temperature to further emulsify a more stable blended state. The word "emulsion" comes from the Latin word for "to milk", as milk is an emulsion of fat and water, along with other components. Yet by definition of several levels Blend still functions as Emulsified on the basis of being not normally mixable. Question: Is this vegetarian?
Answer: NO!! Beware because this product (black/yellow label) does show up on a search for Vegan Vitamin D, but it is definitely NOT VEGAN, NOT VEGETARIAN, and contains animal by-products. The good news, SR does have a vegan D3 formula, which I've been taking for a while and it is great (as of 2020 it is a black/green label). A little more expensive but worth it, because who needs animal by products in your vitamins? -

Question: I've read you should not take D3 and K2 at the same time. You should take them hours away, any comments?
Answer: I love this product! I have actually been advised by my NMD to take this product. she said the K2 takes the calcium from your blood and puts it in your bones and that allows better D3 absorption, so it is a 2 fold benefit for me at age 46 I have never had a good experience with a D3 supplement until I started using this one 6 months ago. -
Question: Has this vitamin been third party tested?
Answer: I don't see anything on the specific product website that provides any information about 3rd party testing but at the bottom of the page they let you "Track your lot number and view third party testing". However, I cannot find any information on any Sports Research product on Labdoor.com (or Labdoor(dot)com if they are removing links). I would also like to see the 3rd party testing information, and some links to studies showing the efficacy of Vitamin K2 and if there are synergies when taken together with D3. -
Question: Why not vegetarian gelatin! that's superior to kosher and anything else as vegetarian gelatin qualifies for kosher and any other religion
Answer: The capsules are bovine gelatin and while it might be kosher, its not vegetarian. Also the source of Vitamin D is Lanolin, not vegetarian at all.
