Question: Will the sensimist cause fewer nosebleeds than regular flonase?
Answer: I can't use regular climate because I am allergic to fragrances. But sensimist has given me fewer and shorter nose bleeds than any other nasal steroid. If I am not going somewhere where I will be exposed to allergens, I use 1/2 dose, one spray each nostril, and rarely have a nose bleed. The fine most is very gentle, and the delivery button makes it easier to deliver a dose. -
Question: How is this different from regular flonaise allergy spray?
Answer: There are two significant differences that immediately come to mind: 1. There is no after smell...the original Flonase has a slight flowery after smell, this does not. 2. The delivery is way better...the trigger on the side delivers a quick burst and the nozzle injects the burst in the nostril much better. I really like what they've done with the Sensimist. -
Question: Is there any difference in the bottle or nozzle itself from the adult version? I.e. is the nozzle smaller for small noses or is it exactly the same?
Answer: It’s a flared, tapered nose for kids so that it fits in the nostril without going too far up. This way it isn’t uncomfortable if it goes up too high, like the adult nozzle can do. I tried the adult version with my 4 year old and it was just too overwhelming for him. It came out in a liquidy jolt like water instead of a fine mist like this one, also why the nose is differently shaped. Hope this helps! -
Question: I want to switch from my generic flonase to the senimist. Would the dosing be the same as in 2 sprays if i use 2 sprays of flonase?
Answer: No, the dosage is not the same. Flonase (fluticasone propionate) and Flonase Sensimist (fluticasone furoate, also known as Veramyst) are two DIFFERENT drugs. The dosage for fluticasone furoate aka Flonase Sensimist is two sprays per nostril per day until symptoms are well controlled (1-2 weeks) and after that, the dose changes to one spray per nostril per day -
Question: How is it that the Sensimist with 60 metered sprays has more product in it than the 120 metered sprays? The 60 says 0.34 oz. The 120 says 0.31 oz.
Answer: Could be a typo in the description where they mixed up regular flonase with sensimist. When I clicked on the sensimist link, the 60 metered spray was 0.20 oz and the 120 was 0.31. The regular 60 spray flonase is 0.34 oz. -
Question: this one (60 ct) doesn't say NO scent,is there a scent?
Answer: There is no scent. -
Question: Is it really .2 fl oz as shown in photo? I got a bottle with .34 fl oz when I ordered last time bit maybe it was a fluke?
Answer: I understand your confusion. My current spray states 120 metered sprays with .54 fl oz. my recently purchased two bottles states 120 sprays per bottle and the individual bottle shows .31 fl oz. -

Answer: Hi, according to drugs.com, "Flonase Sensimist (generic name: fluticasone furoate) Allergy Relief is the over-the-counter (OTC) version of prescription Veramyst. Flonase Sensimist contains the same active ingredient and is the same strength as Veramyst." -
Question: Hi.. really need help. is this same as avamys fluticasone furoate (27.5mcg)?
Answer: I found 2 articles that might help: Flonase (fluticasone propionate) contains 50 mcg of medication per spray, while Veramyst (fluticasone furoate) contains 27.5 mcg per spray. The brand product Flonase is now discontinued, but generics and store brands are available. OTC Flonase Sensimist Allergy Relief (fluticasone furoate) is the same strength and medicine as prescription Veramyst, which is now also discontinued. -
Question: Does this product come in a plastic spray bottle?
Answer: The Sensimist has a glass bottle inside a plastic housing. There are less expensive Flonase products that are bottle only with a misting insert.
