    • Question: Can you rest this on the page or do you have to hold it? Is it stable when not held and does it magnify when right above the page?

      Answer: You cannot rested on the page to magnify. You have to hold it in your hand in order to magnify the page. It is stable when you set it on the table when you’re not using it not sure if that was what your question was. Hope this help
    • Question: How to open battery cover

      Answer: Thank you for this help with opening the battery cover JK Caldwell and EV!! Seems simple, but feels so flimsy, I thought I would break it.
    • Question: What difference beween exac two but one has 6 the other l0 LED how chosse - what the difference

      Answer: This one is a newer/upgraded version which has 10 built-in led lights with dimmable switch, however, the other one is our older version which carries 6 led lights with only two brightness levels, they do have the same magnification power magnifies up to 300%.     • Question: The legs are 5" but reviews said you need to have your reading material 2" away. Do you have to prop up your book?

      Answer: Using this product was very awkward for my mom who was bedridden when I purchased it for her. She could not get the product adjusted to the right distance away from her and support the book at the same time. I returned the product. The legs felt flimsy and that cord was uncomfortable around her neck.
    • Question: I need 3X magnification...is it ?

      Answer: I had 2.4 magnification and went to three. I actually would like more and will probably order a 5x magnifier soon. I did not notice much difference between 2.5x and 3x. That's about the best answer I can give you.

      Answer: Absolutely. I never use the light.

      Answer: I don’t charge mine. Believe it has a battery on my model.
    • Question: can you lay this device directly on a book page?

      Answer: No. This device cannot be laid directly on a book page because it has to be at least 3 inches from the page as it serves the same purpose as a magnifying glass....just covering a larger area with having to move it around to read. The legs on it puts it at the appropriate position for reading.

    I got this for my father-in law who is elderly and has low vision. It is a quality product and does all it says, but the problem for us at least, was there is just one button to do all things and it is very touch sensitive. Compounding the touchiness situation is that the one button is pretty much right where you want your fingers to land just to hold and use the magnifying glass. As a product probably mostly for older people with some level of vision issues, it would be much better to have more like old fashioned switches/dimmer to use and to be able to fix the light setting the way you normally like it. Then you just turn the thing on and the lighting is what you want with the ability to adjust with a designated dimmer and color choice buttons that aren't where your fingers land to hold the magnifying glass.

    Enlarges words while reading.
    I love this magnifier. It helps me read my favorite books again. The only bad thing is one side keeps collapsing. Easy to fix.

    Helps with crocheting
    I got this to help see stitches in dark yarn and it was everything I was looking for. Hands free, lighted and magnified. Well worth the 17$ I paid for it.

    Magnifying glass with annoying lights.
    This magnifying glass is easy to hold and I like it's shape better than round ones. However, the light controls are on the handle. The lights are going off any time you hold the handle. It is very annoying. It would be a good product if the light controls were somewhere else.
