      Answer: The type of coconut oil to buy can depend on your recipe or desired end product. Liquid, or fractionated, coconut oil is better for thinner sunscreens and solid coconut oil is better for a thicker, body butter style lotion.
    • Question: Is this made from a Peanut, treenut & coconut free facility?

      Answer: Pure Organic Ingredients Zinc Oxide is processed in a facility free of common allergens, but is packaged in a facility that also packages almond flour.
    • Question: Is there a safe tanning tint ingredient I can add to my diy sunscreen formula?

      Answer: Cacao powder!
    • Question: If I use this for sunscreen will I have the white residue of sunscreen?

      Answer: Y
    • Question: What is the zinc Concentration?

      Answer: I looked on the package, but didn't see any listing of proportions.
    • Question: I have an unopened bag is stamped best before February 2021. Should it be thrown out or can be used? Bag wasn’t opened.

      Answer: If it were my bag I would use it if it is still powder. If moisture has entered then it will be hard & probably not usable.
    • Question: What makes the packaging 'eco friendly'? Can I throw it in the recycle, is it bio degradable?

      Answer: Pure Organic Ingredients Natural Kraft Paper Bags are made from natural materials like recycled, virgin, or dye-free paper. All our bags are lined with a Metallized film to reduce permeability to light, water and gases, allowing for longer storage of food-based products. They are recyclable in mixed recycling.

    Best SPF I've used!
    I use this with a brush or mix with lotion and can't believe how well it works. I was spending up to $50 on mineral SPF that didn't work as well. You get a lot for your money and no added chemicals.

    Works in homemade natural deodorant recipe
    I used zinc oxide to replace the bulk of the anti stench ingredient. My homemade deodorant had mostly zinc oxide and a small amount of aluminum-free baking soda. A large amount of baking soda irritates my armpits, but the reformulated recipe works better with zero irritation. My armpits smell of citris and are odor free for 24 hrs. minimum.

    Used this product in my DYI sunscreen. The zinc mixed well in my lotions.

    It WORKS
    Went on a hike today this is right after a shower. Put the zinc in my Cetaphil face moisturizer. Only used it on my face to see if it would actually work and it does! I was looking for a decent face moisturizer that also had sunscreen in it and couldn't find anything decent so I just added this to my regimen for when I'll be outside. Warning it will leave a white on your skin but just keep rubbing it in and the white from the powder will go away.
