    • Question: is this actually a sonic screwdriver in disguise?

      Answer: No it is not
    • Question: What is the largest and smallest bowl this tool can clean? I have bowls from 18mm to 22mm.

      Answer: It's not as wide a range of adjustment as it seems at first. The smallest is somewhere around 16.5mm and fits a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman perfectly. Here's a video with some calipers, which will understate the actual diameter because the contact points aren't at perfectly opposite ends of the circle, but the largest diameter I'd estimate at 18mm. Works great if it fits though, and it's a smooth nice tool through that range.
    • Question: what is the diameter of the drill needle?

      Answer: My micrometer says 0.113".
    • Question: Will this work on a peterson house pipe, xxl?

      Answer: Oh yah, I use it in my Ardor pipes with 80 mm bowl diameter.
    • Question: I own a small Peterson system standard (probably group 2 size) is this reamer small enough for that?

      Answer: This reamer will probably be too large to ream your particular bowl. Sorry😕

    Absolutely awesome
    A good pipe reamer isn't supposed to be a fashion statement. It just needs to actually be functional, do what it's supposed to do and be a good quality tool. This one does just that. It's adjustable for a large variety of bowl sizes. Nice and sharp. It only takes a couple twists to remove years of buildup. I'm very happy with the purchase.

    Performs As Sold
    It works very well under normal circumstances. Although it will fit most bowls; I’m confident that some will simply be outside of a typical range. All said I removed years of cake buildup after a little effort.

    So far so good, narrower range than suggested.
    It's a few chunks of solid well machined steel, though as pointed out elsewhere those coils of spring wife holding the teeth on are suspect. It's finely adjustable through its range of capacity, and the knurled grip provides plenty of force to ream with control. The only thing to be aware of past the suspect wire is that its range of adjustment is narrower than suggested. See attached photos, the narrowest adjustment is around 16.5mm, and I'd guess the largest as being around 18 or so. Also attaching photos of the narrowest setting clearly unable to fit in a Missouri Meerschaum Shenandoah, and the largest setting rattling around loose at an angle in a probably-1950s Tyrolean. Summary, does the job very well within its limits, but it's not a universal reamer. It'll fit most pipes and if you have an average bowl diameter to take care of it's more than worth the money.

    Pipes never tasted better
    I am a pipe collector, so I have many different sizes. This reamer fits and cleans them all.
