This Lift Sling Fits Hoyer(R), Invacare(R), Drive(R), Medline(R), Lumex(R) and most other patient lift brands . The Patient Aid Solid Fabric Sling is made for most patients using a lift sling looking for a safe, supportive, comfortable and easy to use sling to transfer them in and out of bed to a chair, wheelchair, toilet or to pick up a patient off the floor. The Full Body Solid Fabric Lift Sling is made with a Solid Polyester padded fabric material that forms a soft and supportive surface on the patients skin. The soft brushed lining offers ultimate protection for those patients with sensitive skin while also preventing the patient from sliding. The Full body solid fabric lift sling offers total head, neck and thigh support along with an outside handle that allows the caregiver to reposition the patient in their wheelchair, chair, toilet or up in bed. The Full body padded fabric sling has four reinforced attachment points to allow the sling to work with all competitive floor style patient lifts and their 2, 4 or 6-point spreader bars. The 600lb weight capacity allows this lift sling to meet a wide variety of different size patients and their specific needs. Chain Free design protects patients skin and hair from getting pinched or injured in the chains. Fabric is washable and easy to clean. 1 year limited warranty. Size Large. Question: Is this considered canvas.?
Answer: No, it is not a canvas fabric. It is a thick polyester and looks like and feels like a thick Neoprene. It seems much stronger, smoother and softer against the skin than canvas would be. It seems to be a very well constructed and strong sling. My husband is totally incapacitated and I feel that he is safe and secure in this sling. It is also machine washable. -
Question: is there a size chart available
Answer: Yes if you look above at the product pictures it’s the fifth picture if you scroll through them. It will show the measurements for the two different sizes (medium & large). -
Question: Where should the handle loops be positioned behind a patient? I am being told they should be at the neck or above the head.
Answer: We have them at the shoulder. When we put the patient in the chair, someone is behind lifting up on the sling to keep her sitting straight up as we lower her into her chair. We double loop the bottom and only loop the top once. -
Question: Can the sling be used to lift patient manually, without the machine?
Answer: Yes, it can be used to manually move a patient, however it will be difficult as patients that are not mobile are dead weight and will require at least 4 people. Also suggested are back braces for those lifting the patient. -
Question: Is a padded sling?
Answer: No it is not padded -
Question: How long can patient sit up on actual sling once you transfer to the sofa?
Answer: There’s no specified limit on the time a patient can sit up on the sling but to make this a more comfortable experience for them, we highly recommend that you consult their PT or OT. -
Question: What is the length and width?
Answer: If you look at the pictures on the left of the product there is a size chart for your reference. The large is 52" Long and 27" Wide. Hope that helps.
