Question: So its not good for washing machines?
Answer: We would not recommend it be used in a washing machine, it's meant to be used in drains to clear build-up caused by paper, food, grease, soaps, organic materials. -
Question: Does this work the same as Drano?
Answer: This is to keep drain flowing not unclog. More of a maintenance/preventiv -
Question: I have hoses outside that connect to timers. Over time, I guess due to calcium build up, they become stuck. Which clr product would you recommend?
Answer: We do not recommend using any of our products, effective in dissolving mineral deposits, on hoses as the chemicals effective in dissolving minerals are not compatible with the material of hoses (usually rubber or plastics). Our CLR Clears Pipes & Drains does not dissolve mineral deposits, rather it's formulated to dissolve paper, waste, food, grease, etc...normally found in household drains/pipes. -
Question: How much of the 42 oz. bottle do i have to use each month? and, do i have to do my kitchen drain; each of my bathroom drains, etc. monthly?
Answer: For best results apply during time of minimal water usage or overnight. Slow Drains: Apply 2 ounces per day directly into drain for 5 consecutive days or until drain flows freely. Drain Preventative Maintenance: Apply 3 ounces per month directly into each drain. -
Question: Does this remove calcium and lime in toilet drain
Answer: Our CLR Clear Pipes & Drains is specifically formulated to dissolve oil, soap scum, shampoos, conditioners, toothpaste, shaving cream and kitchen/human waste and does not contain the necessary chemicals to dissolve mineral deposits caused by hard water or rust. Our CLR Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover is specifically formulated to dissolve mineral deposits caused by hard water (calcium/lime) and/or rust. -
Question: Will this dissolve hair in shower drains?
Answer: No it does not, it dissolves soap/shampoo/conditioner residue in a shower drain -

Answer: Yes.... -
Question: Is this ok to use to clean up build-up in dishwasher pipes?
Answer: Build up remover is a live bacteria product that is designed to digest fats, oils and grease along with organic material like hair, toothpaste, etc in pipes and drains. It will not damage the inside of dishwashers, and if allowed to sit overnight it will help eliminate organic buildup inside the drains. We would recommend running a rinse cycle prior to using the dishwasher. -
Question: How do you use for toilet pipes? Is it poured into the toilet bowl and after sitting you flush to clean the pipes?
Answer: This product isn't designed for daily use toilet bowls. The live bacteria in the product will continue to multiply as long as a food source is present (degrading organic material while producing water and CO2 as the benign byproducts), however if you pour it into a toilet bowl the bacteria will be carried away in the water. It is designed to be used in slow moving drains and sinks at night or at a time where little to no water will be dumped down the drain. It should be used regularly as a safe preventative maintenance.
