Question: Does this leave a stale scent after using? I have used other plant based detergent that later leaves the clothes with a musty dirty oil smell
Answer: To get around the smell, you could try this trick. Get a wool ball and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Then toss the ball in the dryer in the place of a dryer sheet. The ball will scent the laundry and act as a reusable dryer sheet. If it ever looses its smell, add more oil. -
Question: Does anyone know if the "fragrance" listed in the ingredients is synthetic or natural?
Answer: I have been trying to get to the bottom of this as well. I think it depends on the scent. Lemongrass does not have “fragrance” listed, just two essential oils, and the lavender just has one essential oil. The magnolia lily scent has “fragrance” listed and when you go to their site, it just says a proprietary blend. In my experience, companies often hide behind “proprietary blends” to not have to disclose anything. I’m sure it is better than a lot of companies because they clearly state many bad things that are NOT in the detergents, however I do not believe the magnolia lily scent is just essential oils, or it would have them listed. -
Question: Is this SLS free?
Answer: Yes and no. It contains Sodium Coco Sulfate (plant derived from ccocnut). You may want to research this on you need. Our daughter was very sensitive to detergents and we used it without problem. -
Question: Toxic ingredients can be hidden in fragrances. Why don't they tell us what the fragrance is? We need to know.
Answer: I use the Magnolia Lily. It's all plant based. If you have questions go to the ECOS web site. I love it. -
Question: How long can the product be used?
Answer: While there is no expiration date on the container, the laundry detergent is valid for at least one year. I have never had any issues with this product. It is excellent. -

Question: Since this has built in fabric softener should I avoid using this on moisture wicking clothes, microfiber towels etc?
Answer: I always follow the washing instructions on the fabric -
Question: Does the product contain harmful substances?
Answer: Not that I know of. I love this product and purchased it originally for its properties. I continue to use it as it gets the job done, my clothing is fresh and doesn't contain any perfume smell to it. -
Question: Is it ok to use in the HE - High efficiency compartment of the washing machine?
Answer: Yes it is ok to use but please carefully read manufacturer instructions prior using it.
