Question: Does this blend smoothly with only water and ice in a blender? (I don't want to have to add banana or "milk" of any kind).
Answer: I use only water, and a shaker bottle, and it comes out perfectly. I didn't even have to shake it all that much. No clumps at all either. Was pleasantly surprised at how good it tastes, and I didn't add anything to it at all, just water and the powder......wasn't even cold water either, but I am sure it would be better cold. My dad liked it room temperature just fine too. -
Question: Will this product mix well if shaken or must you use a blender?
Answer: Shaken it tends to separate a little bit but I don't mind the few chunks that are left over, as for a blender I disagree with the last comment, if you make a good recipe it turns out fantastic in a blender. This powder for me is on the sweeter side, so I limit the added amount of sweetness that I add to it. Just put some almond milk and peanut butter in with this powder and you're all set. Want to get a little more, put some ground flax and chia seed in there! This is some high quality stuff. -
Question: Which tastes better, chocolate or vanilla?
Answer: Depends on who you ask and your personal preference but both have great feedback from customers. Chocolate is a bit more popular than the vanilla and makes an amazing stand-alone shake with just cold water. Add peanut butter / PBfit and it'll be your new fav (if you like that sort of thing). Vanilla can be used with fresh fruit and smells sort of like cake batter. Honestly they are both really good, hard to choose! -
Question: Does this come with a scoop? I can’t seem to find one in my package. How much is a scoop?
Answer: Mine came with a scoop inside of the container. -
Question: is this certified organic?
Answer: The container has the "USDA Organic" sign on it so it is certified by the USDA as organic. -
Question: What exactly is “natural chocolate flavor”? And “natural fruit and vegetable flavor blend”?
Answer: From a previous answer to this question: "It means the flavor comes from real chocolate, fruits and vegetables". NO it does not. 'Natural' has no legal meaning and can be used any way the vendor wants to use it. Are the 'natural' fruit and veggie blend even organic? It doesn't say it is, although all other ingredients do. Another user said the container has the USDA organic seal on it. I don't see it anywhere in the pictures. -

Question: Has anyone got any nice recipes for this for a breakfast smoothie? Tried it with raspberries and almond milk this morning in my blender, too gritty!
Answer: Raspberries themselves are very seedy. KOS is some of the finest grain plant based powder I’ve use without being pasty. I personally like frozen bananas, frozen cherries and almond milk. Most of the time I just do frozen bananas almond milk and choc powder. The key is using frozen fruit, no ice and blending at high speed. -
Question: Has anyone compared this protein to sun warrior? if so, is it better? trying to find a vegan protein that is palatable with no luck.
Answer: Possibly a little biased as the seller but we were using Sun Warrior ourselves before creating this formula. SW has a great nutritional profile but a very strong stevia after taste, something we fixed with ours. KOS truly tastes amazing and we hope you get a chance to experience for yourselves! -
