Question: Is it wall mountable?
Answer: B. Clark is right: you would need a shelf. The long story made short of it is this: the stand was designed to rest on a flat surface. The horizontal pieces are long (x-axis) and are a good inch and a half wide (z-axis, front to back) on the top shelf and 3.5 to 5" on the second and bottom shelf. They are only 3/4" tall (y-axis), so you would need to drill (straight, mind you) through an inch and a half to 5" of 3/4" wood to get a screw to hold those pieces to the wall, if you were attempting to mount them directly. In theory, you could add furring strips to the bottom of the horizontal pieces and connect the furring strips to the wall, but you would have much less trouble (and end up with a superior result) if you were to create a shelf on which the entire rack would rest. That's not to mention that the bottom horizontal piece is curved away from the back (concave). You could, perhaps, use picture wire to hang each supporting upright from the wall. That would be easier to manage. It would be less stable, but needs must when etc. etc. So, in theory, sure, go for it. I mean: it could be done. In practice, no. As with so many things in life, the effort would not be worth the result. For my part, I'm going to build a bookcase to hold my collection. It is what it is.
