Question: does this magnify when placed directly on the page?
Answer: You need to position this page magnifier 2" to 4"(adjust distance to which gives you the best result) above the small prints/objects in order to have optimal magnifying effect. -
Question: is this a Freznel lens?
Answer: YES. Initially they bribed me into a glowing review by offering a second item for free. As I came to realize how bad the freznel lens is, I have not used the thing at all. I bought another Magnipros item that SHOWED A CLEAR LENS, and it also is the freznel lens. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THEM 4-5 TIMES AND GOTTEN NO RESPONSE. I will NEVER again deal with this company. -
Question: What is the best distance to hold it above the page? If held more than 6 inches from the page, will it still be magnified clearly? Page size max?
Answer: The best distance can be vary from person to person, generally, the best magnifying result would be anywhere from 2" to 4.5" above the objects/small prints, the point is to see objects/small prints clearly, some people see clearly and feel most comfortable for their eyes with distance 2.5" while other may find 3.5" to 4". -

Question: Can this be used while wearing prescription glasses ?
Answer: Yes, my mother uses it while wearing her Rx glasses and seems to have no issu -
Question: Is this safe to use for reading outside?
Answer: Yes, with the caveat that you minimize any reflection from the sun on the white pages -- as you would obviously do anyway. Also, MagniPro's surface can also reflect light when the angle of incidence/reflectance is such that it noticeable in your field of vision., No vision issues if you don't read in direct sunlight. -
Question: What do you use to clean the screen without damaging it?
Answer: There are many products available for cleaning eye glasses, camera lenses, computer and cellphone screens etc. that will work. Some are pre-moistened and come in sealed packets. Other cleaning systems use liquids in spray bottles that are used with lint free cloths. The goal is to clean without streaks and not to scratch the screen. -
Question: Can this be used to magnify a Kindle or iPad screen?
Answer: Yes you should be able to. It's a great magnifier. They only thing is you have to hold it so we reading a book it's a problem turning page's. -
Question: Is this 100% transparent or does it have those annoying lines in it like most full page magnifiers?
Answer: It is mostly transparent. Occasionally I can see a line, but adjusting the angle of magnifier gets rid of it. -
Question: Can someone provide information on how long the batteries last. My expected use is maybe 2 hrs/day. Debating this vs the rechargeable.
Answer: I use mine about the same amount of hours and have had it fir over a month and the batteries are still going strong !
