Question: why is being hexane free important/good? could you please explain that?

Question: Can you use this as a moisturizer by itself for your body?
Answer: Yes, this works great as a moisturizer. I love to use it on my damp skin to seal in the moisture before I get out of the shower. I have very dry skin, so often, I will use an all natural lotion when I am dried off because the oil has already absorbed into my skin. This really helps seal in the moisture. -

Question: how does it compare to other doterra brand?
Answer: I have never used doterra or yl brands of carrier oils. I cannot believe that they would be any better than this for the price point. I am picky about my EOs, but not my brand of carrier oils. I have had no negative issues with the brand. -
Question: Is it organic? I received mine and realized it does not say anywhere that it's organic.
Answer: Hi Alice, It is not possible for fractionated coconut oil to be certified organic. The fatty acids are fractionated (separated) to concentrate capric and caprylic acids, which is not a process that occurs in nature. Organic products are not processed in any way. Unlike our virgin coconut oil, which is certified organic, fractionated coconut oil is primarily used for aromatherapy and massage because it remains liquid. I hope this helps! Question: Is it cold pressed?
Answer: Hi Kyle, I am deeply sorry for my late reply! It seems this question got lost on me. Fractionated coconut oil (FCO) cannot be cold-pressed because it's specifically made to separate capric and caprylic acid from lauric acid, which involves heat. Our virgin coconut oil is cold-pressed, preserving lauric acid, however their functions are different. FCO is used in aromatherapy because it remains liquid at room temperature, whereas coconut oil is primarily used as a culinary ingredient. If no heat was applied to FCO, it would just be considered cold-pressed coconut oil. I hope this helps! Question: Is this scented?
Answer: no scent at all. It not too greasy either. I even rub in on the ends of my hair after swimming in the pool and leave it a while before I shower. I have curly hair though so the ends get dry.
