Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: Is this product non gmo?
Answer: Thorne does not use any genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as raw materials in any product in the entire Thorne product line, including Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate. -
Question: Does this contain yeast?
Answer: No. Thorne’s Riboflavin 5’-Phosphate does not contain yeast. -
Question: Is this sourced from Corn and does it come from China?
Answer: Thorne’s riboflavin ingredient is produced through a proprietary fermentation process and contains no traces of corn residue. For competitive reasons, Thorne does not disclose an ingredient’s country of origin. -
Question: Is it possible that the phosphate could cause air in the digestive system?
Answer: We’ve been taking this supplement for over two years without experiencing this issue so I’m not sure whether it can cause this. -
Question: Is Riboflavin 5 phosphate sodium different from Riboflavin 5 phosphate? Will it affect a person's blood sodium level?
Answer: Although Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate and Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate Sodium are different, they are very, very similar. They are both are considered to be active forms of vitamin B2 (riboflavin), and they both have clinically identical uses. The sodium contained in Riboflavin 5'-Phosphate Sodium is a very small amount and should not affect blood sodium levels. -
Question: I know these are the active form, but why are these so low in mg compared to the non-active? previous ones i was taking were 100 mg each caps
Answer: Thorne’s Riboflavin 5’-Phosphate contains 50 mg of active riboflavin 5’-phospate per capsule. This amount is not considered a low dose because it is many times the Recommended Daily Amount (RDA) of 1.3 mg. When an individual takes riboflavin, it is converted to riboflavin-5’-phosphate. Because Thorne’s Riboflavin 5’-Phosphate contains the active form, it does not need to be converted in the liver, is ready to be used by the body, and therefore does not require as high a dose as if one were taking the non-active form of riboflavin. -
Question: My capsule doesnt seem to be fully filled?". Was that the case with anyone?
Answer: Yes. Probably because fillers and other ingredients are so bad for humans.
