    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: Does anyone else find the top "bulge" on the rubber of the handgrips really uncomfortable? Or am I holding it wrong?

Answer: In the beginning I also found that bulge to be uncomfortable. I adjusted my grip and I wore bicycle gloves, and then they worked great. You might also try adjusting the height by one notch as that affects where the bulge meets the hand. Yes, there is.a learning curve to getting comfortable.
    • Question: I can't seem to find this in my read, can the forearm be adjusted for almost a 90 degree angle or is the picture the max adjustment?

Answer: Hi there, First of all, my review of the crutch was not at all positive, simply because it's not really a crutch for weight bearing. It might be useful for replacing a cane, but for me as a polio victim, not at all useful (I returned it). Having said that, the answer to your question is no. If you see the close up of the crutch where the grip is located, the centerline straight up would then make the forearm roughly 25 degrees aft. Though the grip itself can be adjusted quite a bit, I don't think that's what you meant being able to be 90 degrees (which I think you mean the forearm part itself being able to be adjusted 90 degrees from the centerline), thus the picture that you see is the max adjustment. Hope this helps. God bless.
    • Question: What size are the batteries?

Answer: small. incredibly difficult to insert. the whole thing is just so badly designed it’s hard to believe. caveat emptor indeed.
    • Question: What is the distance from floor to the grip at the maximum height setting?

Answer: It depends on what setting you put it on. You raise or lower the handle yourself. I absolutely loved mine! ! ! ! !
    • Question: What is the minimum length when folded? I need to carry them when I travel by motorcycle or plane.

Answer: Since no one wants to answer your question, here is the answer from the manufacturer when the question was asked on the single unit The full lenght if not extended of the original assembled product is about 43". When folded, the lenght is about 21"
    • Question: can i verify this is in stock and ready to ship?

Answer: They tell you if they are.
    • Question: We only received the left crutch. Will the right one be sent separately? I bought the pair.

Answer: Mine came in the same box.
    • Question: Will these work for someone 4' 11" who is 180# or should I go down to the child size?

Answer: No, they would not get that short. They come in a box that is already about 5"4 and that's as short as they get. I also returned mine, they are heavy, uncomfortable hard to walk with, the knee peg hurts. The bottem of them are very wide and easy to step on. I would agree if you are 4'11 and want these go with the pediatric ones ...
    • Question: Are these crutches ambidextrous? I only use one crutch and usually use the second as a back up.

Answer: The ratchet placement on the armband, like a ski boot buckle, works best in one direction. This said, I believe the 'wrong arm' would be fine for backup.

    Forearm crutches
I bought these crutches and it was the best investment I have done for my disability.

They are easy to fit but much heavier than expected.
Definitely not lightweight. Even the aluminum poles are very solid. I like the ergonomic hand holds and adjusting is easy.

    Very helpful
I use these almost daily, it really has helped improve my independence. I purchased these about 3 months ago and have no complaints. The little horn makes me chuckle, I’m not too sure what it’s use actually is. The light is awesome though, comes in handy. The crutches are well made and I absolutely recommend them. Way more helpful for my stability compared to a cane, and more comfortable.

    Definitely beat the conventional crutches
These Ergobaum® Prime7TH Generation by Ergoactives are very well designed with a few thoughtful features. In terms of the built quality, I think it is top-notch - relatively light, multiple color choices, a strap to hold your forearm in place when you need to open the door, very flexible in terms of adjustability, a horn to alert someone when they are in your way, and a light in case you are walking with your crutches in the dark. (note: the horn and the light are thoughtful nice-to-haves. I wound up did not use them at all) In my opinion, this is way better than the conventional crutches that constantly rubbed against my armpits, and I have trouble maneuvering them. They are quite a bit more expensive than the conventional crutches, however.

    Great product and trade
The crutches are a day night difference to the standard issue. One crutch was lost in transit and the dealer sold us a new set while giving a full credit for the other two crutches. Communication around the issue was as good as you get. The crutches themselves are really comfortable, and I would recommend them. The light and horn will probably beneficial to some, however I use the beeper to create some laughter when I pretend they are revering beeper like a truck. Many thanks for the great trade and all the very best
