Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: how do i Get one that 6 foot long need it to be atleast 18 rise, 20 inch ok
Answer: Dear, the maximum height that a 6-foot wheelchair ramp can lift is 20 inches and the maximum angle is 16 degree. If you find it too steep, we suggest you buy a longer size wheelchair ramp. -
Question: Can i use it to load wheelchair in and out my van?
Answer: I'm not sure. It's made for a 6" rise pushing an occupied wheelchair. This would be a much higher rise but I assume it would be an empty chair. It could possibly work. -
Question: Will this go over a 6” step
Answer: Mine went over a 5" step and was okay. 6" might be a little steep for this. -
Question: If i get this ramp and it is too high or low for my door way threshold can the height be adjusted on it.
Answer: Used this as threshold ramp numerous times for various doorways. Where it seems that the doorway step is higher, it just makes the ramp a little steeper. We love ours. Used it over front doors but even better patio doors leading to decks. Can leave it in place all day for in and outs. -
Question: Does the ramp need to be anchored as it shows in the video? We need a truly portable ramp and can't anchor it.
Answer: Hi James, I purchased this in order to get people in a wheel chair up one stair and into my house. I didn't anchor it. I just lean it on the top stair and move the wheel chair very carefully. I guess it depends on how you are going to use it. It comes with instructions on how to use it with a wheel chair. -
Question: will it work for my 250 lb snowblower?
Answer: It worked ok for a 240 pound guy in a wheelchair, so hopefully 10 pounds more won’t damage it 😊 -
Question: Got wheelchair power got 14 inch drop to back yard what size ramp do I need
Answer: Fourteen inches is a sizable drop. You would require a longer ramp to address the rise. I’d have to do some math and see the wheelchair in action, but I think a 36-inch ramp would be ok as long as your back yard is level. 48 would be better. -
Question: What does pack of one mean? Will I only get 1 side of the ramp or is it the 2 side as the picture shows?
Answer: You will receive both sides of the ramp as you see in the picture. With most vendors, pack of one means that only one item comes in the box. -
Question: CI have a step 8" high. Will this ramp work for me?
Answer: For ease and safety moving chair up, the 6" mark would be better. A longer ramp would adjust to 8" -
Question: Do the side rail’s come off ramp as I have 1 side that may not be Able to lay in place due to obstacle?
Answer: Dear Failure to fully contact the top of the ramp with the ground can easily cause the ramp to fall, which is dangerous.
