      Answer: It’s probably too short to go to the bottom, therefore leaving the last 1/4 of liquid in the thermos. If that makes sense.

      Answer: Jennifer, these are brand-new items. We've been using them since we received them and to be honest with you they seem to be better than the original manufacturer ones. They've already been through the dishwasher countless times, and they still come out looking brand new. This product seems to be thicker and more resilient than the factory ones.
