Question: Will this fit a regular 3/4 inch cane rubber replacement bottom
Answer: Yes, the FlexTIP was designed to replace regular round tip with the standard 3/4'" OD walking cane. -
Question: What is the maximum weight this cane will support?
Answer: 400 lbs. -
Question: My cane is 16 mm (5/8 inches)…do I need to find a new cane to use this attachment?
Answer: The FlexTIP TLC is designed for standard 3/4" OD walking stick. Unfortunately, it will not fit your 5/8" stick. -
Question: Will this work with a wood cane? i am making one for a friend out of purpleheart wood. it will be about 3/4" diameter and weight about 2.5#.
Answer: Since the wooden cane is a solid cane, a hollow space is required for the stud to move up/down when the spring is compressed. In order for the wooden cane to work with the FlexTIP, a hollow spacer is required. We can mail you the spacer if you can send your mailing address to [email protected]. Please make sure the wooden you make is 3/4" diameter. A slightly over side is better then under size to add compression friction. -
Question: Will it fit a strong arm cane1" diameter cane?
Answer: It looks like Strong Arm Cane's outside diameter is 1". FlexTIP TLC can only fit cane with 3/4" diameter. So, unfortunately, FlexTIP TLC will NOT fit your Strong Arm Cane. -
Question: Good for wet parking lots? Is there a learning curve? Tia
Answer: The answer is yes as long as the wet surface is not oily. However, please use the best judgement and common sense. The FlexTIP provides cushion, pivot and rotation to provide comfort and stability. The learning curve will be minimum to none. -
Question: Will this cane tip work well in sand and around a swimming pool?
Answer: It will be safe to walk in the sand. However, to use around the swimming pool then you will need to use your best judgement to determine whether it's safe. The bottom tips are made out of rubber. If it's slippery for the shoes then it will be most likely also be slippery for the rubber tips. -
Question: Are rubber tips replaceable?
Answer: Yes, the tips are replaceable. With patented design, the tips should last for a very long time compared to regular cane tips. -
Question: Will this stay on? The tip fits tight but is passive as opposed to a screw on product. Will the "rubber" like material eventually stretch and slip off
Answer: The rubber fits the base tightly so under normal use and normal circumstances, the tip will not slip off. -
Question: Will it fit on a hurry cane ?
Answer: No, the FlexTIP will not fit the Hurrycane becasue Hurrycane's base is integrated into the cane. The FlexTIP will fit any cane with a replaceable rubber foot as long as the OD of the cane is 3/4".
