      Answer: No, you have to use their specific strips,but that’s pretty standard for most monitors. They make their money off the strips it seems.

      Answer: the one I am using now has an expiration of oct 23 2023. but they suggest that you use it within 30 days of opening the package. each package has 25 strips, so it should be easy to use them with in that time fram

      Answer: These little things are the “test strips” that you put the drop of blood on after pricking your finger. The meter is totally self contained. The meter, the strips, and the lancet (finger poker) are actually all included in the meter. The only things you need are alcohol wipes and extra lancets.

    I love the convenience and ease of use of the device. Recently got a different device from insurance company, but each are so different in readings. I'm counting on the Dario but will need to go to the lab for accuracy verification.

    My wife has used the Dario meter for Type 2 diabetes monitoring for several years Since she likes the compact system we order their strips which work quite well

    Overall good value
    I like the idea of using the iPhone, brings device cost saving and convenience. The test strips are easy to use and appears to be very accurate, works very well. However the lancing part of the device does not really works, so I abandoned using it. Instead I punch manually the lancets. I would have given a 5 if the lancing would have worked.
