Question: Can I use this on all of my laundry, including cottons and linens?
Answer: I use this on all my laundry that is allowed to be washed. Not for use on Dry clean only. Works really well on cotton since, since cotton holds smell. Nice and Clean after first use. -
Question: Is this product unscented?
Answer: Yes, ACTIVE is unscented! -
Question: I can’t get it to dissolve in my front loader. I’ve use hit cold warm water always a clump of detergent in the cup when load is done. What can I do??
Answer: My front loader has a removable cup that you take out when using powder detergent, so we don’t have any problem with that. Depending on how your wash cycle works, you can probably toss detergent right in the tub with the clothes, too. -
Question: How big is a "scoop"? It seems clear from other reviews that some packages are missing the scoop. Please note what a scoop is equal to.
Answer: The scoop in my bag is equal to about two tablespoons. -
Question: Will it kill the bacteria in my septic system?
Answer: The detergent is safe for septic system -
Question: Will it wash out previous detergent used to clean garments?
Answer: I imagine this would remove previous detergents from the clothes. It did a great job removing cat pee smell from our clothes. We also soaked the clothes for a bit in a bucket of water with baking soda which may have helped matters. -
Question: Can this be used on performance wool (such as Smartwool or Icebreakers)?
Answer: Yes it can! In fact it's perfect for Smartwool according to the guidelines and recommendations the company provides! The detergent uses no fabric softeners or artificial scents which cause damage to Smartwool and similar materials. Additionally the ACTIVE enzyme blend cleans away all the gunk caught up in the fabrics without damaging the material like traditional detergents. -
Question: Can I use as an additive along side my normal laundry soap?
Answer: Yes! We love to use this as normal laundry detergent :) It works great on all materials but we specify active clothing since those tend to become the most stinky. -
Question: Is it safe to use for he high efficiency washers?
Answer: Yes, it is perfectly safe to use with both traditional and high-efficiency washing machines. We agree with Cecilia as our customers have reported better results when the detergent is added directly with the clothes in the machine vs using the detergent tray! - ACTIVE Detergent Team
