Answer: only one size, fits most everyon -
Question: Why can it not be used as a seat beat to keep someone from sliding in their wheelchair?
Answer: I think the length (60inch) of this gait belt might be too short to keep someone (medium or large size) from sliding out of a wheelchair. A longer one may work. -
Question: Is this belt like a car seat belt?
Answer: No, this is a belt placed around the waist of people who have difficulty walking steady. The belt allows the caretaker person to help steady the patient so that they can exercise or be transferred to toilet facilities from a seated position. It should NOT be use to strap anyone to a chair or car seat. -
Question: does is it have grip handles?
Answer: no handles. you just grab the belt. Works as good as handles and looks nicer. -

Answer: i don't know but its heavy, thick and strong, i love ie, my PT likes it too -
